I wrote an article on how to get the Ultimate bokeh >> http://tiny.cc/am5zdx

This is head-shot #55 - Jesse Rinka - Wedding/Portrait photographer
I got to know Jesse way before I started The Project through the Fstoppers group on Facebook. He's a genuine and kind guy, my goal with his head-shot was to capture that kindness.
Funny story, I go to NYC a few times a week and work out of an office on 55th and Lexington Ave. I've known Jesse for over a year now and had no idea his office was literally across the street, about 700ft away. Gotta love NYC!

I normally don't photograph children but I had to test the new ring light I built. My neighbors daughter, Emuna was thrilled to have her photo taken. The first thing she asked me was "If you take my portrait, do I get to take your portrait?" I told her "Absolutely, I get to take 10, you get to take one" She said fine and put her hands on her hip. I ended up taking 50 and this was the last one, hope you guys like it!

This photo has my claim to fame. I spent 3 evenings waiting hours each night for the perfect clouds and tide level. The first 2 nights I got kicked out by the cops for jumping the fence and the 3rd night I finally went back with friends who were my lookouts.
The three major things I was looking for was a high tide level so these wooden things in the water wouldn't intrude in the composition (check similar images taken at this location you'll understand). The clouds had to be perfect and lastly the lights in the buildings had to come on.
This shot is a composition of 2 photos. My camera stayed in the same position on a tripod between the 2 photos that were taken a few hours apart from each other.

Here's a recent portrait I took the other day.

A lot of people have asked me about both my bokeh so I wrote an article - http://fstoppers.com/the-ultimate-guide-to-bokeh

I wrote 2 articles on each for Fstoppers worth checking out.

Here's another retouch. I try to keep my retouch very subtle, I hate the over done look. I made a tutorial using a method you probably never saw to get rid of bags under eyes and matching miss matched tones.
