Looking to sell off my ham radio station.  Non-smoker, couple of years old. Everything works exceptionally well I think.  I have been hyper focused on my triathlon training that I just haven't had a chance to touch the radio in some time.  I also want to put the money into a Tri/TT bike which is where my focus is these days.

Details here:  http://www.devalcourt.com/station/

Main components for sale are:

Icom IC-7000
LDG AT-100ProII
Super PWRgate PG40S
Heil Pro Set Elite and Heil FS-3 Foot Switch

I'd prefer to sell it as a whole but I'll consider any option. I'm not entirely sure what the price should be for everything but I'd like between $1200-$1400 for the entire package. Will consider best offer.

Dear Android Users, You are absolutely correct, your android devices are better than Apples, for you. Please understand that nothing is black and white, everyone has opinions and reasons for what makes something better for them. None of these devices are about being perfect or the best or first to market in my opinion.  It is however simply what you as the consumer finds fits with your needs and nothing more. To each their own. I don't miss my days of tinkering with linux or building my own machines despite all the freedom it provided me to do exactly what I wanted. I got older, I need and wanted stuff to just work without me thinking about it.  I have way too much IT work to do in my day to day job, the last thing I want is to contend with being IT at home as well. Can you please just let me enjoy my Apple devices without trying to make me feel lesser of a human because I don't care about customizing my screen with widgets or being locked into the Apple ecosystem. Truth be told, I actually really like the Apple ecosystem because my small little mind doesn't have to worry about much at all with it. You may view that as a flaw in my personality but again that's an opinion and so be it. I get it, I really do. I've been there, I'm just too tired to keep trying to explain my position and deal with things like I use to.  I much prefer to be out running or biking or swimming or hiking then to be downloading the latest this or that and tweaking this or customizing that. Thank you for caring enough though to share your opinions and try to save all of us blinded Apple fan bois.

I'm an android user and google fan in general.  I find some of the jokes/mockups about both products pretty funny.  I find people arguing about which product is better to be idiotic.

I can't tell you which product is better because I have never owned an Apple product.  I can say that every time I have to type something on an iProduct I have to stop myself from throwing it into the wall because of the infuriating keyboard.  I'm glad that's finally changing with iOS 8.

There are a multitude of products for different needs and the fact there is choice is what drives every manufacturer to improve their product.  Despite Steve Jobs wanting to destroy Android, it no doubt drives Apple to add new features and better options.

On a different note, Chic-fil-a was all over the news because they fought some aspects of the ACA. and because they support groups fighting to keep marriage defined in the traditional meaning.  People called for a boycott.  Burger King was slammed for considering moving their HQ to Canada for tax reasons.  Why does no one care that Apple was CONVICTED of conspiring to price fix e books?  That is deliberately anti competitive and illegal but people don't ever pretend to care.

Sigh... Left all the Ingress groups I was in. Sad, for the best though.

That stuff tends to happen with any game involving groups of people sadly.

Reposting this.. Might be a bad time due to the CW contest this weekend but figured I'll keep trying since my time is running out on getting this done before the end of the year and my limited time I get to spend at the radio.

Trying to finish up my digital WAS.  If your in HI, ME or ND sure could use your help. PSK31, JT9, JT65 or RTTY will work.

CQ CQ LOTW HI, ME, ND de W5DLD W5DLD pse k

If you know anyone in any of those three states who might be willing to schedule something with me I'd appreciate passing on my contact info.

This is an old post, but if you stumble by here and need a missing State, mode, etc., here's a good place to find someone to work.

Many good folks there.  I've removed lots from my logbook want-list in those chat rooms.

If your an athlete and you have not tried ENERGYBits yet for both fueling and recovery you really owe it to yourself to try these things out. I'm not selling these things, not making money or getting paid to say this, just very passionate about these things and what they have done for me.

Nothing magical here and not a supplement. All natural, no caffeine.  Since using these things before long runs or brick training sessions I've seen a very stable level of performance and improvement. No crashing or cramping or bonking. And for me the best part has simply been the decrease in my recovery period and no more cravings to stuff myself post training.

If your interested in samples let me know. You can order some from me direct at cost from my website http://www.devalcourt.com/geauxbits/ or from ENERGYBits themselves www.energybits.com

Also feel free to reach out to me for more info and my own experience with them. I can also put you in touch with Jonathan at ENERGYBits if you would like as I know he would love to share all his knowledge regarding the benefits of them with you.

Also if you do place any orders you can save yourself 30% by using my discount code "GeauxBits".  And please if you do order any you have to share your experience with them with me.

Anyone in ND in this group? I'm in need of ND via PSK or JT modes who also uses LoTW.  ND is the last one I need to confirm in LoTW to finish my basic digital WAS.  I've been trying to use K3UK LoTW Sked page and I've reached out to a few others who have been suggested but it always seems to be something. I've got some digital ND QSOs but none confirmed via LoTW.  If you know anyone who might help I'd love to hear from you.  Really hoping to finish this Digital WAS before the end of the year. Thanks for your time. W5DLD

Apparently I never bothered re-installing MMTTY since rebuilding my computer some time back. Installed it today and I am having no luck getting it to work / transmit with my IC-7000.  I am able to successfully use DM780 for PSK31 and WSJTX for JT9/65 with the current setup.  I believe I should be able to get MMTTY working using AFSK but nothing I try seems to trigger TX on the radio.

Anyone out there think they have some thoughts on this?  I'd like to know I have RTTY working again to use on occasion.

Issue solved. Seems it was the USB CAT interface causing the issue. I was using that radio shack cable that has the FTDI chipset just for CAT control. It seems to work really and I have very few issues with it. However I couldn't get it to TX with MMTTY. I used another USB to serial cable (ATTEN) with the prolific chipset and a cable from xggcoms for CAT control and now MMTTY will TX. That xggcoms cable works great but the USB to serial adapter is problematic in my experience. I need to find a good USB to Serial cable using the FTDI chipset.

Introduction
First and foremost I'm a very proud father. By far my greatest achievement and source of my being is my munchkin.

I've become a pretty hardcore believer and case study for the Paleo lifestyle. I love running again and enjoy all sorts of physical fitness these days. My story and reasoning behind my life changes regarding this are a bit long and have been laid out in a blog post if your interested.

When I'm not with my daughter or working or running I try to spend some time working on various amateur radio awards, working digital modes and contests as well as trying to learn CW (morse code) which I'm failing miserable at.
