We have the same one, and the same problems. It was recalled and we took it in to be serviced. Last year it would turn off when it reached the "proper" humidity level. We just brought it out this year and it just cycles between low and high fan settings and never turns off. It is very loud even on low. And yes, the humidity gauge on the unit is always about 10 degrees different than the two different humidistats we have in the house. We got ours on Craigslist for $50, but I still would not recommend this model.

How to make yourself exercise every day and why
Here, there is some magic sparkling dust that you can sprinkle all over yourself and instantly feel energized and eager to get up and work it, work it like there is no tomorrow. Or, here is a magic pill that gives you an itch until you go and work it off running here and there like the Energizer bunny. And if these two didn’t work you’ll have go for the last resort-solution… grow a pair and cultivate a back-bone of some sort.

Do it, not because someone on the internet told you that you should, but because it’s the right thing to do, the healthy thing to do. Motivation isn’t something extraordinary that some people just possess – it’s something you cultivate and promote in yourself every single day. No one likes pain, soreness, hell, even a little discomfort of any kind. And, let’s face it, it’s very comfortable sitting pretty in front of the screen counting hours before the next meal… but you know who else has that kind of lifestyle? Hamsters. And they have a running wheel which the use.

The human body is designed to work – it’s at its best when it works and it’s happiest when it’s been exercised. Your mind will tell you a hundred times over that you don’t want it and then, also, actually don’t really need it. Your own head is trying to screw with you, yes. The thing about exercise is that very few people are actually overly-enthusiastic about it 100% of the time. It’s impossible to keep in a fighting mode every single day especially when you are already in pain from the previous session. The fact is, you know it is the right thing to do. You know that it will improve your quality of life: you’ll feel better and feel more satisfied with yourself while being able to appreciate the rest a lot, A LOT more.

Sometimes, all you need to do is show up. That’s all. You don’t need to be ready, the conditions don’t have to be ideal (they never are), and the gear is really optional as long as you have a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. Show up and go through the motions even if you have to count minutes until it’s over. The eagerness and the excitement over what you are doing at times come during the process – like appetite that comes during a meal. Show up and do what you can at whatever pace you can, but do it.

It’s normal to feel like you are not into it, like you are out of shape, like everything is just plain wrong. Yet, you go through the motions – one after another. You are there – what else are you going to do, break down and cry like a… little girl? You have that option, too, but what’s the point? Show up and do it and you’ll think about how it hurts later, that is if you will feel like it being overwhelmed by your own awesomeness and all. The moment it’s done, the moment it’s over all you feel is pride … and maybe a little bit of ache here and there, but that’s ok. You know it’s ok because you did it.

Exercise – it’s such a dreaded word, so many people shy away from it like a vampire from the sun (we don’t count the sparkling ones, they are a lie) – yet, it’s what you need, it’s what your body needs desperately. Lack of physical training actually can make you feel more tired, apathetic and depressed. It happens, and more often than you think.

Getting motivated is great, excited – fantastic! It’s unsustainable, though. So, stick to “just showing up”. You wouldn’t miss a meal, would you? Well, you need to move your body just as much as you need food. Without it your body will slowly start breaking down and your quality of life will eventually drop. Like a squeaky door that you don’t actually notice until you fix it one day… and only once you cringe without a reason while opening that door that no longer makes a sound you realize just how much it was bothering you before. It’s the same with training… only once you get into it do you realize just how much your body wanted it, how much you really needed it to be part of your everyday routine. And yeah, being lazy is natural, being bothered by the weather and whatever body aches and pains you already experience is also very normal. It isn’t much to ask from yourself to just go and participate, though, is it? Just go through the motions and see how far it takes you. And then, do it again the next day, too. You can even tell yourself that you won’t do it ever again just to trick your brain into giving up complaining… as long as it is a lie.

Show up. Do some. Do any. And see just how far it takes you.

The last time I visited Sonic was October 3, 2012. We were moving that day, in a hurry, and the restaurant was 3 blocks from our new apartment. After a long wait and nearly cold food, we decided not to frequent the Nixa, MO restaurant anymore. Since I drive by the restaurant everyday and I'm always looking for ways to save money, I finally signed for for MySonic using my iPhone via the **Sonic option (as advertised on the banner in front of the restaurant) last week. So, after a whole lot of email confirmations and verification codes, I have a MySonic account. I decided to use the current MySonic coupon yesterday, which was for a Buy One Get One Free Honey Mustard & Swiss Sandwich. Erin was very pleasant and thorough taking my order at the drive-thru. He acknowledged my iPhone coupon, read back my order and told me my total. When I got up to the pick-up window, the carhop who was giving me my food (Faith A.) had no idea what a MySonic iPhone coupon was. I showed her the coupon on my phone and she said "just a minute", closed the window, and I waited. Meanwhile, someone comes out the door and brings food to the car behind me, takes their credit card and goes back in to take their payment, and brings them back their receipt. The car behind me leaves. I'm still waiting. Finally Faith A. comes back to the window and says "I talked to my manager and she said that we can accept it this time, but next time you'll have to print out the coupon and hand it to us". I explained to Faith A. that I followed the directions on MySonic as to how to redeem the coupon and it clearly states "3. Show the offer on your mobile phone or tablet to the carhop" (as shown in my screenshot below). I then stated to her that if those directions are not correct, perhaps the website could be updated with the correction instruction. She replied "That's for all of the Sonics everywhere. We need the coupon. Have a nice day" and she closed the window. I guess she was done with me. So I drove the 3 blocks home and we immediately sat down to eat while our sandwiches were still warm. The bottom buns on both sandwiches were completely wet and soggy, and the tots tasted like they were cooked in old grease. So after a long wait, a big debate, and a disappointing meal, I really don't feel that the time and effort were worth the savings of a free sandwich. And, for as long as the banner out front has been advertising "Sign up for MySonic offers at **Sonic", I would think that the management and staff would know how the program works.

We stopped in here yesterday for lunch because we both had a $5.00 gift card. The service was good, the cashier was quick and the food was not too bad. My only gripe... They have new "TV" menu boards behind the counter now. Great - BK is going digital and it makes for easy menu changes for them. BUT... the screens change about ever 20 seconds. So we're standing there looking at the menu, and suddenly it changes and all of the screens are showing falling french fries. Then they changed to a picture of a new whopper or something, then finally the menu came back. I think we stood through about 5-7 screen rotations (3 different screens between menus) before we could finally see enough of the menu to place our simple Combo #4 order. Only two minutes to place our order after staring at rotating screens for 7-8 minutes to be able to read the menu... I would suggest that you know what you want before you get there, or arrive early so you have time to watch the show.

Had a coupon for a $5 lunch - cost us $9.50! We were the only customers there. They were out of regular size buns so they substituted larger ones and charged us for them! Sat down with no silverware then couldn't get the two employees to stop talking long enough to get us some. BBQ sauce station was a dirty mess with dried sauce on the sides and table. Service & food both below par. When we left they were still talking in back - no "thanks for coming in" or "have a good day!" They just let us walk out unacknowledged. Wrote to corporate office and they offered us a free meal - turned it down as we'll never go back. Wish it was still Bandana's.

I've shopped here 3-4 times a week since they opened. Bought butter 2 days ago for $2.99 (save $1.40) on sale. Thought it could only go up with the next sale right? Wrong – it dropped to $1.99. They refused to price match it for me for the $1.00 difference. Unopened. She gave me some poor excuse about why they can't – they buy it at a certain price, so they can sell it at this price this week. Well it was the day before yesterday. I refuse to believe that what is on the shelf today was brought on a different truck load at a different price in the last 48 hours. So I returned it and explained to her that "I know it's only $1.00, but we're two people living on one part-time income and that's a 33% price difference." (No response) I then told her that I've gone out of my way to shop their store to put money in their pocket to support them, but if they can't price match me for a $1.00 difference that occurred within 48 hours I will just shop at Walmart and use their price match. She couldn't have cared less, she just went through the motions of the return process without saying a word or even an "I'm sorry you feel that way". That's all it would have took. I won't shop here anymore. It was the manager, Mandy.

This whole experience was unbelievable... We found a place to move on very short notice and had to get rid of a lot of items. I spoke to Hal White (the owner of Crossroads Auction Co.) the 1st week of September about getting stuff to him to place in auction because I didn't think I'd have time to sell it myself. He said the soonest he could get in in would be the 3rd week of Sept. because the 2nd week was their big antique auction. He said "contact me next Monday (Sept 10)". I went to his store and spoke to him in person that next Monday, as he instructed. He said he would come by Monday, Sept. 17 to see what we have, which he did. He offered us $125 to just buy outright our items. (Retail value of these items was over $700 - nothing damaged, and everything in original packaging and boxes). He said he would come by Tuesday morning, Sept. 18 to pick up our items and give us a check. Tuesday night (8:00pm) I called him and he said "I got busy and can't make it. I'll be there Wednesday morning". Wednesday night (8:00pm) I called him and he said "I've just been really busy, I'll be there Thursday morning". It's now 1:45pm on Thursday (Sept. 20) and still no word from Hal. I've had friends and neighbors asking me to buy my items but could not sell because I had a [verbal] deal with Hal at Crossroads Auction. (He won't make a definitive appointment/contract or write anything down.) So I just called Hal again to let him know I would not be needing his services. As soon as I said my name he immediately started in with "I've just been too busy and haven't had a chance to get over there yet". I explained that I was calling because I'd had offers on the items that he was supposed to pick up and told him "I've decided to cancel the pick-up and sell the items myself". His response was: "Well, a man is only as good as his word" - click (he hung up on me). I immediately called back to try to further explain my reasons for cancelling, and of course my call went immediately to his voice mail. I left a message stating: "Hal, I called you out of respect to let you know that I would be selling the stuff myself because I could have sold half of it already, and so that it would be one less thing for you to worry about because you are so busy. And as far as your statement "A man is only as good as his word...", you told me you were going to pick up our items 72 hours ago and couldn't even give me the courtesy of a phone call to say that you couldn't make it". Don't deal with this place. Hal is extremely unprofessional, unreliable, won't pay you the value of your items, and (as I found out today) is extremely rude.
