The food is quite good, but the service was not. We waited at the hostess stand for 5 minutes while the servers passed us at least 3 times and at the end of our meal we sat with our plates stacked and empty water glasses for 10 minutes before the server brought us the check, which she then brought the wrong change. I can understand these things if the place is busy, but there were perhaps 5 tables. I will say though, that the food came very quickly after we ordered.

Food here is consistently good. Today, we had the best server, ADRIEN. He was accommodating, confident yet polite, friendly and very helpful. Love the tandoori chicken, lamb vindaloo, kheer and masala chai here. Definitely recommend this place. Will be back, especially if Adrien is there.

Great happy hour prices on food. The service really makes this place, I've never had a bad experience and always recommend it.

This is a great place. The naan bread was really delicious. The Shangri-La cocktails were strong, but tasted like punch. Happy hour is really incredible here: 5 dollar cocktails and non-vegetarian appetizers are half off. Go late night on Friday or Saturday for reggae and an eclectic, fun party vibe or earlier in the evening for a lower key date vibe. Server was super gracious.

I came for an early dinner before heading to a show at the Orpheum one Sunday (free parking! And an easy walk to the theater). There weren't many people there (which was fine) but I believe it can get pretty busy in the evenings. Wanting to start off with my favorite appetizer, samosas, I was informed they didn't have them that day... But our waitress offered an alternative that was a pleasant surprise: vegetable pakoras (it reminded me of fritters, but savory). My table also ordered the lamb boti kabob (came out on a sizzling platter) and chicken tikka masala. I'm normally not a fan of lamb, but I enjoyed this well seasoned dish. The tikka masala was the best I've ever had! The creamy sauce was multidimensional. The chicken was juicy. And the level of spice (medium) had a great kick without knocking me out. The meal was a bit pricier than I'd prefer, but I'd still visit again - perhaps for happy hour or their lunch buffet.

Worst service ever! We waited for more than 20 mins and then left. They simply don't care! Never going there again.

I went to the restaurant last night with some friends for a get together and man we made the right decision. We ordered mixed non-vegetarian appetizer consisting of tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, seekh kabab. Chicken was one of the most succulent and juicy piece of meat I have eaten and seekh kabab was a perfect blend of spices, simply tasty. The main course we ordered was Butter chicken (restaurant specialty), dal fry, goat curry, paneer makhani and navratan korma with Naans and Rotis. Goat curry made me remember the roadside food places called dhabas that make the most flavorful curries. It was spiced and cooked to perfection. Just soft, tender pieces of meat. Butter chicken was creamy, rich and simply delicious. Dal fry was spicy as per our taste and we were left pondering how can you live without such food. Naan were soft and whole wheat rotis were perfectly cooked. For the desert we ordered gulab jamuns and kulfi(indian ice cream), and I thought now we can find some issue with the food as not everyone can make good gulab Jamuns. They need to be soft and sweet till the core and they were and the kulfi was just tasty, perfect finish to our lovely evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
