Don't make me laugh, it's been 3 weeks now! Please provide an answer !
Do you think I am a cheater?
Time to get out of this limbo or stop sending me my portal approvals!!!
We had small field plans, we had big field plans, and then we had some more plans.
We had our close fielding plan, which at this point was plan.... C? Or maybe Y. Anchors changed, blockers went up, and blockers were taken down.
We got one, maybe two links in for our field 10 minutes before the first measurement window! Sadly, due to a popular blocking path and being physically inaccessible for months due to weather to get out to Flatholm Island, our plan was scuppered last minute by rogue links going in.
An agent was dispatched to Mini Avon Lighthouse to take the offending blockers out and to one more try to take down the island blockers…
Kenti: “OK, I can't get out there unless I can get a plane, a boat or a helicopter.”
At much distress from the Smurfs, Kenti took the lighthouse down.
Smurfs: "It looks like you're floating in the sea!" Well, Occam's razor would have suggested a boat...
We tried to get him closer the Flatholm, but the skippers wouldn't take him close because of the weather, reasonable given the gale force winds.
oh hells no
Nearing the end of measurement 2 the blue field went up. Agents were dispatched by the Ops team as soon as they could find the anchor.
Following Google maps instructions, Chiyachan managed to beach his car close, but not close enough to the portal.
No problem, just walk (run!) the rest of the way.
Only to find a set of locked gates.
When asked for help, the smurfs thought the driver was joking in a ruse to take the portal and refused to budge to help out a fellow agent.
Teams November -5 and -17 volunteered to help the stranded agent, only to get to the farm land and get questioned by the farmer. We promptly turned around and headed up the other road along the Northern side of the castle to find an abandoned car in front of locked gates.
...Private access, displayed more than once. OK maybe there's a side entrance? Turns out, there is a public footpath that runs alongside the property - but not into the property. I didn't stay long enough chat to the two smurfs who were inside to find out they were with the owner of the property and apparently were not trespassing.
Sadly two questions still remain in my mind:
If they had gained lawful access to the property, why were the gates locked and the car left outside?
Why was the farmer (who finally rescued Chiyachan) upset about public access to the Castle?
After later bringing these issues to the Resistance, they claim entry to the site was done with the owner’s permission, and they had in fact locked themselves inside with the owner.
Whilst I would normally not really care about portals like this during normal game play, using an anchor which is illegal for one faction to access, then locking yourself in (and any real competition out) seems very unsporting. This is not the game I have come to know and love, and I know there are many smurfs out there who are great sporting individuals.
It would be great if someone could reassess the score without the field in. This would be a fair, sporting result – if we still lose, I can happily accept that because we did the best we could within local law and the rules of the game.
TLDR, we hired boats, rowed kayaks & destroyed cars, all to get locked out of a castle.

Update 1: I've been passed a link to the castle:
The Castle and outbuildings are in a state of disrepair and therefore are inaccessible to the public.
Apparently the castle was already green. I don't know when or how it was deployed, but it would possibly be reasonable that a portal with road that bad leading to it it would have been kept as a guardian from when the site was accessible (this is pure speculation on my part but a possible answer)
