Congrats! My copy just arrived last night—I'm looking forward to reading it!

Any specific examples? The sense I get from my group is that Python 3 was a lost opportunity to fix some fundamental problems with the language, e.g. its resistance to JIT-ability.

Thanks for the writeup! Just a quick clarification: It's actually called Comparea (Compare + Area, get it?), not Compera. Here's an Africa comparison: http://www.comparea.org/AF+USA48

First round qualifiers at the US Open with +Aidan Feldman

+Kenny Leftin is it possible to rename stories? This name is descriptive but lacks a certain punch :)

I put the finishing touches on a long-standing side project today. Please check out Comparea!
http://www.comparea.org

Comparea lets you compare the shapes of any two geographic features. This lets you answer questions like "how big is Greenland compared to the US". Read more about it here: http://www.danvk.org/wp/2014-08-13/introducing-comparea/

and please reshare & upvote! :) https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=8174361

Hey developer friends! I've published "git webdiff", my first side project since leaving Google. It gives you a two-column (side by side) diff in your web browser, complete with syntax highlighting.

Read about it here: http://www.danvk.org/wp/2014-07-03/introducing-git-webdiff/
Install via "pip install webdiff" and then run "git webdiff" any time you would run "git diff".

This addresses a long-time annoyance of using git on Mac OS X for me. Please give it a try and let me know what you think!
