What are we doing in AZ to stop this trajectory? Seems like we are going int he wrong direction.

New sharing strategies.

NPR: Not A Group House, Not A Commune: Europe Experiments With Co-Housing. http://google.com/newsstand/s/CBIwxP_yvyA
From urban high-density housing to rural communal living, Europeans are using the principle of co-housing — in which neighbors share space and resources, depending on their needs.

This is a interesting look at addiction and environment.
New evidence about addiction isn't just a challenge to us politically. It doesn't just force us to change our minds. It forces us to change our hearts....

seems the headline, as usual, is more definitive than article. Which I'm guessing is more definitive than the book would be. It was interesting that one of my tech guru friends posted it in the context of how should this change the way we look at technology and how it it moving us to a more isolated existence.

I pulled in late for lunch, about 1:30, and was a little concerned because it seemed pretty quiet. I went in, was warmly welcomed, and placed my order. I tried the sliced brisket, pulled pork, coleslaw, and beans. The platter also had a little corn muffin. The brisket was spot on. - moist, smokey, flavorful. The pulled pork had great flavor and texture. I doctored up the pork with a sample of the spicy and sweet sauces. Both nicely complemented the pork although I preferred the spicy sauce. The slaw was creamy mayo based savory, not sweet. Probably my only misgiving about the meal were the beans. The beans were a bit flat. Need some salt an/or vinegar. I dumped some of the spicy BBQ sauce on them and they were perfect. I thought about knocking the rating down to 4 stars because of the beans but that seems pretty weak-assed to know down a bbq place because of the sides. So 5 stars it is. I was disappointed that they were out of cobbler. I believe cobbler is the perfect finish to bbq meals so I will be back to get the full experience.

Really enjoyed the meal tonight. Great service, food, atmosphere and value. All improvements over my last visit 6 months ago...and it was great then.

I really which they would change their queuing process. It is the most frustrating place to get a lunch in downtown Phoenix. The low rating on the service has to do with the process that is in place not the people. You go in and use the same line for sandwiches, soups and salads. when ordering you may have to interact with 3-4 people by the time you get what you want and pay. This adds an amazing amount of time to receive you food. I would only go if you are in a good mental place and don't be surprised if you leave tense/frustrated. Go, but not during peak hours.

Love this place. Good food and atmosphere. Noodles are excellent and there is a cabbage soup that is great.

I really want to like pita jungle. The food is just ok and the service is really hit and miss. Mostly miss. There are a couple of dishes my wife really likes: Caribbean salad and couscous salad. It is a lively place to eat, especially the patio, I just have to walk in no expectations of whether it will be a half an hour service or an hour and a half service.
