Personal Stat of the Day: It took 3 times longer to pop a bowl of popcorn, this evening, than the combined length of Ronda Rousey's last two fights (0:48 seconds).

I'm sitting here with Don Henne who's Chad Henne's (Dolphins, Jaguar QB) grandfather. Great, funny guy. He actually tried out with the Yankees in '61 as a pitcher and has been a Yankees fan ever since.
Here he's showing off his Ohio State ring.

Beautiful ring. Whom does the Ohio State usually award such ring?

+Dan Soto Based on ESPN's hiring practices for their male employees? No, because she's not a sports star. But if she was a famous athlete, then yes.

The last time I can remember being anxious about a Windows release was when Windows95 came out.  However, at the time I was working for Xerox and had been using the beta and gold code versions a couple of months ahead of time.  Now, as I've been out of town for a few days while Windows 10 has been released, I'm seeing an overwhelming amount of praise for this release.  Now I can't wait to get back home and install it.  I might wait until tomorrow morning however so I can read up on any caveats ahead of time.

Side Note:  I was an MCSE in the mid 90's and 2000's.  I've played extensively with, deployed and can troubleshoot every desktop and server versions of Windows since the 3.x days with one exception, Windows 8.

So I'm in Arlington, TX to watch the Yankees beat up on the Rangers and just came across this display at a Walgreen's. Is Miller Lite trolling Cowboys fans wit Eagle's footballs across the street from their stadium?

In 1992, Sir Mix-A-Lot won a Grammy for "Baby Got Back".

In 2015, Michael Buble is harshly criticized for posting a picture, taken by his wife, and saying "‪#‎babygotback‬" on Instagram.

I wonder how many of the people who are blasting him have ever sung or danced to "Baby Got Back" ?
Michael Buble may sing sweet love songs but he just hit a sour note when he posted a picture of an unknown woman's butt to his official Instagram page.

I just backed this project and was the 5th of what I suspect will be many backers.
Basically, it adds a mounting system for your tablet or smartphone that allows you to use it to control almost every function on your DSLR.   Some nifty functions are:

1) Easily choosing your focus area by touching the screen (for me it beats manually hitting the controls on my camera a million times to move it over)

2) Can work wired or wirelessly

3) Can edit and share directly from the tablet.

4) 3 point pivot mount to allow you easily adjust the orientation.

5) Many others

I read about this yesterday and immediately signed up for an email notification when this project went up for backing.  I was the last to get it at the early bird price but the regular price is still well worth it to tinker around with.

Share this with your photography circles if you want.
Easily mount your phone or tablet onto your DSLR or mirrorless camera, to control & enhance your camera using your mobile device.

Excellent. I called at 8:04AM and got an estimate right away that was cheaper than others. I had it to them by 8:15 and they were done within 2 hours. Great, quick service.

A quaint little place that I just discovered via Google Maps. I went for a late breakfast (11AM) so the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. That, and being a Tuesday, made for quick and friendly service. The breakfast was good and fairly priced.

Refuel is a cozy little place around the riverbend area that I decided to try for the first time. It's a walk up cafe where you place your order at the counter and they bring it out to you. For my breakfast, I took advantage of their special and had the goat cheese omelette with bacon, onions and peppers. I chose the potatoes as my side dish and the meal was served with two slices of wheat toast. The entire meal, including my coffee, was absolutely delicious and it was served in good time. I'll definitely go back since I'm living in the area now.

Absolutely horrendous. Rarely do I get a meal under 10 minutes. Usually 1/2 of it is cold since they assemble part of it then wait for the rest. By that time, the first part of the order is cold. Service is horrendous as well.

An excellent little spot for breakfast with both inside and outside tables. This is not your standard place to eat though. No one comes to your table at first. You walk in, grab a menu, order at the counter, pay and then wait at whatever table you want to sit at until a person brings your food out. My breakfast was an omelet stuffed with bacon (tons of it), ham, sausage, and cheddar cheese. I had a biscuit and coffee as well. There are several types of coffee to choose from :)
