APA102 LED strips just arrived! Bought 2x 5M rolls of them for $68 during AliExpress's crazy 11.11 sale. Easily one of the best deals fort me that day.

These things should be able to do 256 shades of grey (in addition to the usual millions of colors) and I'm very excited to try that out!

Finally organized my resistors last night. The piles and bags were getting a bit out of control. Took a while but I think it was worth it. Real easy to find what I need now and I know right away when I'm running low on a particular resistor.

+Ross Potts Oh you can see!  I thought you were literally blind ("I can't see").  If I knew you actually can in fact "see" I would have just told you to zoom in on the picture you goof :D !  That's why I gave such a detailed description, haha.  I thought to myself, "How would I describe this to someone that's blind?" and typed it up.

I mean, it's a reasonably high resolution image... Just click on the image to open up the full photo viewer then click the zoom button (Tip: You can use your scroll wheel to zoom at that point).  Or if you're on a phone use the un-pinch finger gesture to zoom.

To answer your question...  These are the drawers:  http://amzn.to/1GqByw3 (Akro-Mils 10164).  I have three sets of them hanging on the wall in my closet.  The top one has the resistors (and nothing else yet--probably going to add capacitors next).  The middle one has lots of components (e.g. transistors, MOSFETs, ICs, etc).  The bottom one has bigger drawers for larger items like spools of wire, various dev/prototyping boards (e.g. I have a drawer with a bunch of Arduinos in it), and other odds & ends.

Someone asked me why machine pin headers don't work with breadboards.  I created this video to demonstrate precisely why they're not the greatest when it comes to breadboards.  Having said that, my testing revealed that they may not be so bad with breadboards and in fact all my troubles may be because my male machine pin headers are junk!  I'll follow up in a few weeks when the slow boat from China arrives with the various machine pin headers that I ordered...  for science!

Also in this video:  A special Play Doh surprise (electronics) toy egg!  Watch the video to find out what's inside.

In case you missed it, the other day my Hello Kitty Hack was mentioned on Hackaday!  Love that site.

My projection clock project...  Early prototyping/testing.  GPS (for accurate time--not positioning =) is on the way and I've already sourced a better magnifying glass and am working on an adjustable case/platform to house it.  I may add a regular display to the front as well but we'll see.

Note:  When projecting the display is reversed/mirrored.  I made it 'regular' for this picture so you could see that the 0.96 inch OLED is displaying the current temperature.
