Last week’s horrific Amtrak crash surfaced new concerns about the US’s neglect of its rail infrastructure, with blame falling on Congress for failing to allocate enough money to upgrade the system for safety. The truth is that trains would be the safest way to travel in this country—if more Americans embraced a future on rails.

One of my fave 'girly' ballads. Very nice vocal arrangements and harmonies per the usual for Wilson-Phillips no matter how 'slick' their style of pop sound was described 'back in the day'. Spring 1991.

The best supermarket chain in Cape May County bar none. Prices are consistently reasonable and service is usually at the very least good to outstanding. And no, I am not an employee or affiliated with ShopRite in any way or manner. Great selection as well. My only complaint if I had one, was that the store is not open 24 hours.

The most overpriced local grocery store around, bar none. Their "$ales prices" are usually the equivalent of a price hike at a competing supermarket. However, they do sometimes have some good deals on the seafood which is often of a decent enough selection and quality. Otherwise, meh.

I have been a patron of Joy Buffet since their inception back in July 2008. Though they have had a few periodic dips in quality here and there over the years, overall my dining experiences there have been positive and satisfying. As of late, Joy Buffet is definitely on a roll {is that a pun?}... This owing perhaps a great deal to the recent return of their "Master of Ceremonies" überhost who tirelessly ensures the utmost in quality and service, Ronnie. Make no mistake, Ronnie has been and is instrumental in Joy's success as a buffet as he is dedicated in the utmost to the needs of the guests. Of course, it's the food offerings that draws one to a restaurant first and foremost and as of this review in July 2014, they have been at the pinnacle of the best I have ever sampled from the myriad of buffets I have been to all over the United States. Seriously, the food has been plentiful and tasty and Ronnie's commitment to ensuring the highest standards are met keeps the momentum continuing. I have been to Joy Buffet several times this summer and every meal has been excellent. I am not embellishing in the least. I realize there may be some who will disagree with my enthusiasm and conclusions about Joy Buffet but either - A): You went on an off night {let's face it - EVERY restaurant has them}... B): You visited during Ronnie's absence of leave which apparently while gone, Joy Buffet experienced an overall downturn in quality and output {not to mention the often rude and surly 'host' who filled in for Ronnie left much to be desired}, or... C:) You're too picky and your expectations for an "affordable buffet" are a might bit high. In closing I rest my case. Joy Buffet has been top notch consistently during the summer of 2014. I highly suggest you try them out for yourself and see what you are missing.
