One of the last Rush concerts I went to was Hold Your Fire, which was in surround sound, and my seat was on the floor right next to the mixing and lighting consoles, which, of course, means it sounded awesome! I don't think I have ever been to another concert in surround sound - not that most really need it.
But yeah, good luck with that. It is not easy even though some directions are available on the website. I wonder how soon I will get an e-mail or forum message asking for help to build it. Yeah right.
To reduce some of the lagginess on long clips, try turning off the audio thumbnails in the timeline panel's menu.
