I found it interesting to look at just how much vibration is constantly going on, and yet they still maintain precise eye tracking:  http://www.gizmag.com/force-india-video-eye-tracking/44157/
Modern Formula 1 might lack the drama of days gone by, but drivers still need lightning reflexes to make sure they don't end up in a tire wall. To prove how fast drivers react, Force India's Nico Hulkenberg strapped on some eye-tracking goggles and cut some hot laps.

"People who take on complicated creative projects become lost at some point in the process. It is the nature of things—in order to create, you must internalize and almost become the project for a while, and that near-fusing with the project is an essential part of its emergence" http://www.fastcompany.com/3027135/lessons-learned/inside-the-pixar-braintrust

You have to watch the video.  This feels like the early computer ads about how a computer will be so great in the kitchen.  Lots of aspiration (and no details).
http://www.gizmag.com/asus-zenbo-home-robot/43587/
The Zenbo home robot from Asus has been created to offer busy family members a helping hand with everyday tasks like keeping the kids entertained, controlling connected smart devices and providing recipe inspiration for mealtimes. The company also sees it acting as a remote guardian for the elderly.

It looks like Alphabet's X lab (formerly Google X) took some inspiration from Christopher Nolan's sci-fi flick for Schaft's latest robot.

I just finished "Death on Mars" - couldn't put it down.  He argues that there was civilization on Mars and that it was intentionally wiped out.  The most provocative non fiction I've read in years. http://www.amazon.com/Death-Mars-Discovery-Planetary-Massacre/dp/193914938X/

Now this is an amazing development.  Reducing CO2 output by converting each ton of methane into $225k of carbon nanotubes plus $835 of electricity.  http://phys.org/news/2016-06-power-co2-emissions-carbon-nanotubes.html

The EsCargo is a cargo-carrying electric delivery bike with a unique suspension and steering system that gives it some very odd riding dynamics and turns everything I know about handling a motorcycle on its head.

Great little electric car conversion.  From 8hp to 1000!  http://electriccarsreport.com/2015/09/flux-capacitor-is-europes-fastest-street-legal-ev-video/
A three-year project to turn a 40-year-old electric city car into a Tesla-beating dragster has climaxed with TV presenter Jonny Smith's Flux Capacitor becoming Europe's quickest street legal electric car. The 1975 Enfield 8000 electric city car, capable of just 40mph when new, this weekend ...

Great essay on the effect of large companies
http://www.paulgraham.com/boss.html
March 2008, rev. June 2008. Technology tends to separate normal from natural. Our bodies weren't designed to eat the foods that people in rich countries eat, or to get so little exercise. There may be a similar problem with the way we work: a normal job may be as bad for us intellectually as ...

This is far too much fun, but it makes me totally geek out:
Is this what powerpoint should look like?
Is this the future where content is a distant second to "the formula for success"?

This is a riot.  "how to make a pop hit".
