+Dan Scott you might find this interesting

In late 2014, I started a journey into an idea that I came to call #SemanticAnalytics . My new blog post today is the next step in that journey.

Through the process of trying to figure out how I could track the performance of semantic markup, I discovered that I could use Google Tag Manager coupled with a dataLayer and dynamic tags to push out JSON-LD structured data/markup at scale.

Check out, 7 Steps to Pushing Out JSON-LD Structured Data using Google Tag Manager, to learn how I'm delivering structured data to Google without having to actually add microdata markup to my pages' code. We can also use this method to more elegantly enable the type of Semantic Analytics I first described in my +Moz post (http://moz.com/blog/semantic-analytics).

If you're at #SMX  this week, I'll be doing an in-depth session on this tomorrow at 9am. Join me!
Now you can get rich snippets without hardcoding microdata! Find out how to do it in just 7 steps by building JSON structured data using GTM.

Went here last night had a lot of fun I highly suggest it to anyone who wants to have fun. Great for a date not too fancy but has upscale food with a casual environment.

Google Tag Manager Injector: Painless Tagging
/via +Online Behavior  #analytics   #gtm

"Google Tag Manager is truly incredible. The ability to make additions or alterations to your tracking and marketing tags without bothering your developers is a huge game changer in the digital industry. However one small problem still remains... Google Tag Manager (GTM) require at least one additional piece of code on your site before you can start to utilise this ground-breaking way of doing things.

This article provides a step-by-step guide to Tag Manager Injector (TMI), a free Chrome extension designed to make the transition to Google Tag Manager as quick and painless as possible. The extension gives you the ability to run/preview a GTM container on your site without needing to add any JavaScript to your pages. In this article I discuss how this could benefit you and your business and provide a real life example deployed at Eurotunnel."

Does anyone use the +Google Analytics  Add On for +Google Drive ?
I'm wondering how scheduling the reports runs one months that don't have 31 days if you set it to run on the 31st day of the month? If someone could please let me know I'd really not like to wait 2 weeks to test it out. Thanks

Fellow Tag Manager Users does anyone know if a trigger can contain a variable. Right now I'm trying to make sure a click url doesn't contain the page hostname and I'd like to have it happen dynamically but it doesn't seem to be working any help here? #tagmanager   #gtm   #analytics   #googleanalytics

Clearly I'm a data nerd... Working on creating some visualizations on some data sets I think about too much but never truly look at. Hope to show it off soon.

Quote of the day, "I'm sorry but what's Bing?" And that came from someone at a pretty big tech company that doesn't compete against Microsoft in that space.

So Twitter giving Google firehose access again kind of sucks. I am trying to find out when Twitter is in Chicago and used to be able to find it with just a simple "twitter tour" search and now I get all these musicial tours.

After seeing it's score on Zagat I had to visit this place and see if it is as good as everyone said it was. It definitely lived up to my expectations. I showed up was promptly greeted and seated. I sat at the bar and worked my way through the menu in that time two people came up to make sure someone had taken my drink order which was nice. Shortly after ordering 2 things of sushi and about 4 rolls they sent over some Miso soup which I've pretty much come to expect from a good sushi restaurant. After that they sent over some appetizer dish I didn't order but it was free and delicious but I sadly don't remember what it was. My food came fairly quickly for all that I ordered. While eating one of the guys behind the bar handed me another piece of sushi and let me know it was from the owner. Even what I didn't order was amazing. The Turtle roll was great. The California roll was fairly good. The Spicy Rose was very good as well. I can't remember the last roll I got but it was good as well. I highly suggest going there if you are in the area

Fantastic sushi place. It may pretty much always be dead and located in the last place you'd expect to find a sushi restaurant but the food is fantastic and worth a visit.
