Went to the Guns N Roses Show tonight in Chicago and they have been selling a small number of lithographs at each stop this tour. They have all been pretty sweet so if you are going I suggest getting there early and trying to get one.

Have been thinking of the last day or so that it is time for me to use these collection things and get back on Google+. Something I've become a big fan of recently is concert posters. Sometimes it is just awesome art and sometimes it is a way for me to remember that awesome show I was at or even a story around a show. So fair warning you'll start seeing some of my concert posters I own or just love in general shared here. A lot I have are Pearl Jam posters but there will be a few more sprinkled in.

The joys of new toys. I've been playing with #LeEco   #Le1Pro   lately. Interesting phone to say the least. So I guess we start off with one simple question.

Who is LeEco?
Well first off they were formerly LeTV. The name change is so recent the phone is technically the LeTV Le 1 Pro but might as well get with the times. Anyways, LeEco is pretty much the Netflix of China. They have a whole bunch of things to stream on the phone. They also manufacturer TVs and Streaming boxes from what I can tell. From what I've read online it sounds like they are planning on making their push into the US at some point this year? Could be wrong on that too who knows.

The Phone
Due to the fun of being a Chinese phone I'm going to judge this phone mainly on it's hardware at first and may do one of the software later. This phone has a very solid build nice metal reminds me a bit of an iPhone a bit of Samsung and a little bit of HTC.  It has the mute switch from the iPhone which I love that was always one of my favorite features of that phone I never got on Android. The speakers are pretty loud I can definitely rock out in my office a bit better at a lower volume compared to my Moto X. While the Moto X may have 2 speakers this 1 speaker beats it hands down. It does have a USB-C for the hardware which is good/bad at this venture in time mainly because it is a pain in the ass having to carry around an adapter which is provided and so is a USB-C cable. It has dual sim which is awesome because I can throw my fi sim card (it reads fi as T-Mobile) in there and my t-mobile one and get calls on each number and texts as well so it just makes life simpler. The camera takes fantastic photos I'll post more from it later but right now you can look at my dinner from tonight. The biggest flaw in the hardware in my eyes is the fact that there is hardware buttons on the bottom as opposed to the normal android software buttons. They also took the liberty of switching them around the back button is on the right and the recent apps button is on the left.  It has been a week with this phone and there is still much more to say but I'll cut it short this time. Feel free to ask question in the comments. Point is I'm mainly liking it with some big exceptions on the software side though. More on that soon.

Anyone have any suggestions for hubs to get to control my lights? Pretty sure they are all zigbee. Currently have wink but it caused some network issues in my house and had to be taken down. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Does ISY make a Zigbee module?

They do, it's kinda hefty though.

I've never actually used one, but they come highly recommended in the INSTEON space.

While this was a show I did not attend I love the look of this poster and the work this artist does is great. Including officially licensed Star Wars prints ( +Virginia Poltrack I'm pretty sure would love his work ) the artist is Steve Thomas and you can get his work at http://www.stevethomasart.com

Why doesn't Google build their smart replies into the keyboard? I feel like that would make hangouts just as "powerful" as Allo

+Dan Baran I'm not arguing one way or another, but that wouldn't be a simple business decision for Google to make. Every time Google supports openness, their is a calculus to be had. This would be a whopper. The fruits of years and years of research spending in NLP now benefitting competitors (as well as partners). ... On a side note, I haven't quite wrapped my head around how this would with technically if they were to try to accomplish what you propose....the keyboard is a general input tool with expected input from a user and not an attached data stream from a shared output such as a messaging stream.

After seeing it's score on Zagat I had to visit this place and see if it is as good as everyone said it was. It definitely lived up to my expectations. I showed up was promptly greeted and seated. I sat at the bar and worked my way through the menu in that time two people came up to make sure someone had taken my drink order which was nice. Shortly after ordering 2 things of sushi and about 4 rolls they sent over some Miso soup which I've pretty much come to expect from a good sushi restaurant. After that they sent over some appetizer dish I didn't order but it was free and delicious but I sadly don't remember what it was. My food came fairly quickly for all that I ordered. While eating one of the guys behind the bar handed me another piece of sushi and let me know it was from the owner. Even what I didn't order was amazing. The Turtle roll was great. The California roll was fairly good. The Spicy Rose was very good as well. I can't remember the last roll I got but it was good as well. I highly suggest going there if you are in the area
