Hey, #ormsmooc  folks - you should think about signing up for EdCampCT this summer. Ian totally cosigns this.

Most definitely. I think you all should attend and present if you've got the time. It's the single best PD day you'll attend all year. Hands down.

Sadly, this year you will not be able to buy me a beer after the event. Normally I'd gracious accept your gift of frothy, malted hops.

My response to Module 3's ideas concerning online reading comprehension. Give this a read please.   #ormsmooc
One aspect of the new literacies that crosses up users of the Internet at all efficacy levels is judging the reliability of sources. This is an issue that is constantly in flux. It is changing as quickly as the modes of onlin...

Digging in deep and talking about bias. Well done...usually I avoid bias and perspective in these lessons as we're skimming the surface. In your classes....nope...you've gotta address it.

Excellent points. That's one of the challenges that I hear from students (and colleagues) that should be creating, blogging, writing, etc. It's not about time, it's not about not knowing how. Those are definitely barriers...

They're not sure if they have the license to share online. It's a case of "why should I"..or "who am I to share these ideas."

Confidence. :)

Here's a general lesson for reading (on) the internet that can be adapted for most content/levels. The links can be found on my blog. I hope you find this helpful.
