Klee SimplyMe, to start out you will use a small amount once per day for the first week. On week two you will use the same small amount (1/2 pump) twice per day. Over the next few weeks you will work your way up to the full suggested amount which is two full pumps twice daily. You will then continue with that amount. -Brandy

Yes you may use 5% benzoyl peroxide if that's all you can find. Just don't use 10% it can be too strong and irritating. -Brandy

Scientists are finally vocalizing what we've known for years. If benzoyl peroxide works better than antibiotics and doesn't create resistant strains of bacteria, why not just use benzoyl peroxide? I'm so happy to be finally hearing this from medical researchers. http://www.acne.org/blog/2014/04/08/compelling-reason-prescribe-topical-antibitoics-anyone-anyone/
I have been saying for years that if benzoyl peroxide is so good at killing bacteria on its own, then why do we need topical antibiotics like clindamycin, which do not work nearly as well as benzoyl peroxide in clearing acne, and have contributed to creating massive amounts of resistant bacteria across the world? It… Continue reading →

Ruby May, We don't have any experience with the  AHA and Sebojel at the same time, so I'm not sure. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer or Sebojel and ask them if their product is compatible with AHA products. -Brandy

Does the regimen help with blackheads as well?

Yes, if used as directed, The Regimen should help clear up most cases of acne which does include blackheads.  -Brandy

Nicotinamide (AKA niacinamide or nicotinic amide), a vitamin B3 derivative, may be a welcome adjunct ingredient in an acne sufferer’s arsenal. I say adjunct because it is unlikely to produce adequate levels of clearing on its own, but may help boost otherwise lacking treatment protocols. It has a fairly good track record over the years... It’s been 30 days since I’ve been storing my razor in jojoba oil. It’s about time to change the blade, but it ended up lasting about 2-3 times longer than usual. Have any of you guys been trying this? How did it work?

Lorde tweets a photoshopped picture and a “real” picture of her, acne and all. “Flaws are OK,” she says. Heck yeah. http://www.acne.org/blog/2014/04/03/flaws-ok-thanks-lorde/

A question for people on The Regimen: Have you experimented with not waiting 5-15 minutes after cleansing, and instead drying your skin and immediately applying 2.5% benzoyl peroxide? How did it go? http://www.acne.org/blog/2014/04/01/dont-wait-cleansing-treating-blasphemy-input-please/
The Regimen calls for waiting 5-15 minutes after cleansing before you applying benzoyl peroxide. For the past few weeks, I’ve been eliminating this wait. I have been cleansing my skin, patting dry, and then immediately treating with benzoyl peroxide. I’m questioning the waiting time after cleansing for a couple of reasons: • People often simply… Continue reading →
