Ok. Shopping for cars is srs bsns. Should not be undertaken lightly. You should certainly not just get a car because it looks cool and you parked next to it at the first dealership you visited...
Anyway, completely unconnected to the above statement, meet our new car...

Have to replace crashed car soon. Have insurance money, which will help, but don't want to end up financing again (had cleared payments on previous car two months before the crash.) My environment loving heart wants an EV, but the numbers don't add up. We're looking at a small runabout, not a monster vehicle. Any suggestions, Plussers?

Let’s see – I’ve had a birthday, we’ve been camping, but school hasn’t started yet… It must be time for Bard on the Beach! Every year we try to go (some years more successfully than others) and every year I am driven to blog about the experience because…

I found a great Friday night event for the family - The Shadbolt Centre were hosting the Truck Stop Circus show. I bought tickets (bargain prices!) and we rolled up with picnic blankets and a picnic.

It was a brilliant show, and the hour flew by.

Hey, +Steve Turnbull,

My Theatrical publisher is working on a Steampunk Murder mystery, and he asked me if I knew anyone who might have a decent Steampunk image he could use alongside the play on his website? He's Stuart Ardern at www.lazybeescripts.co.uk, and he's a reasonable person. (As opposed to a crazy wingnut, I guess...) We didn't discuss payment/fairusage/credit or other important details, but if you have some images that might suit, would you be ok with contacting him? I'm happy to be an initial go-between, but it makes more sense for you guys to talk/message directly.
Apologies for this coming out of the blue, as it were.

I spent five weeks visiting the hypnotherapist (see the previous post for a full explanation). She was great, taking me seriously, talking me through the various issues I had around fruit and vegetables and exploring my attitudes and expectations on a…

It's been ages since I posted anything but the auto-post of my blog posts, and a while since I did one of those either. I miss G+, but I have less time to spend on social media these days, and I seem to be spending it on Twitter....
Anyway, here's Mrs Dim enjoying a beautiful sunset at Port Moody, BC this evening.

Got most of the neck cage built and put in place, just ahead of my parents coming to visit. Still a long, long way to go, but we can see how tall the thing is going to be, and it finally looks like a dalek.
