Looks like we're going to get this unbelievable data retention law. Just remember the govt may not be listening to your call, but they know you have made it, who you talked to and how long you talked for. Bit like installing a camera in the toilet for the government.
Residents in half a dozen Tasmanian communities have only three and a half months to connect to the National Broadband Network before the copper network in their area is switched off, potentially leaving them without voice services.
Had a great meeting yesterday with my account management team from #NBNCo: Sam Stern, Andrew Walther and Mark Altamore. We went through the entire onboarding process and we have decided to aim for end of March to be directly connected to the NBN! The feedback I got from them is that #launtel are pursuing a unique business model: very high engagement with my business clients, including project managing the entire #NBN transition process. http://nbnsurvival.info
Now here's a really cool idea - a hardware upgradeable phone. Imagine being able to upgrade the part of a phone that you wish (CPU, memory, battery, camera) without replacing the entire phone. This should save cost and save the extraordinary amount of phones that end up as e-waste.
This feels like a total re-run of the asylum seeker debate of 10 years ago. It took years to finally get the Howard govt to see sense, now we are going to have to go through it all again with the Abbott govt.
We, the undersigned, accuse the government of wilful and deliberate harm to asylum seeker adults and children. Sign the open letter to demand an end to indefinite mandatory detention. (Image source: Australian Human Rights Commission)
I have used Mance Electrical for everything from fixing ovens in my rental properties, to putting in new power sockets at home or running data cabling after an NBN install for my telco business, Launtel. Dean quickly and efficiently gets onto any jobs I give him and the work is of great quality. I highly recommend Mance Electrical.
