Fast ferries connect communities

Balancing passenger and cargo capacities – not too much, not too little, but just right. NEW DAMEN ASD 2411 TUG FOR SAAM SMIT TOWAGE IN PANAMA

Saam Smit Towage has ordered a new ASD (Azimuth Stern Drive) 2411 tug from Damen Shipyards, for operations in the port of Colón, Panama. Built for stock at Damen Song Cam Shipyard in Vietnam, it was subsequently transported to the Netherlands for finishing.

EXCAVATOR-MOUNTED DOP DREDGE PUMP 150 WORKING ON SAND MINING JOB

At the Port of Corinto, on Nicaragua’s Pacific Coast, an excavator-mounted DOP150 has started on a capital dredging project, under which a wave barrier will be constructed, protecting the town of Corinto from the sea.

DAMEN SHIPREPAIR VLISSINGEN (DSV) HAS COMPLETED WORK ON ANOTHER VAN OORD VESSEL, ITS THIRD IN FOUR MONTHS

The ‘Nexus’, built at Damen Shipyards Galati, is the first of Damen’s new DOC 8500 design with a spacious and flush open deck and an adaptable and modular construction enabling it to easily switch between roles. The vessel entered DSV for modifications and installations of owner supplied offshore cable laying equipment on deck.

‘GMS ENDEAVOUR' RECEIVES NEW HELIDECK AT DAMEN SHIPREPAIR AMSTERDAM

The ‘GMS Endeavour’ returned to Damen Shiprepair Amsterdam for its fourth and biggest project in a year. The self-propelled self-elevation accommodation jack-up barge arrived in Amsterdam on 22 February for a project to prepare the vessel’s facilities and accommodations for an upcoming transmission.
