Best of luck to Miss Southampton 2015, finalist in Miss Great Britain being judged in a few weeks. She was a delight to photograph.

If I had the space for both my Rocket 111 and a Thunderbird LT that would be the perfect combination
Some days are Rocket 111 days while some days are a bit more relaxed and are Thunderbird days :-)

Good grief!  You'd have to unhinge your jaw to get it around that lot.

Introduction
I shoot stuff for a living - often products, frequently people but also situations and other inanimate objects. If you need it to look good, I'm your man. I'm a libertarian, techie and Earth lover but with a slightly conflicting attraction to huge motorbikes.

I've spent years as a software developer and am a big supporter of open source and the principal of sharing code and ideas for mutual benefit.

I use no Adobe, Apple or Microsoft products in my photography workflow.

I believe in sensible policies for this flat old Earth of ours.
Bragging rights
I have photographed lots of famous people. They weren't famous at the time and are not famous now but they had their 15 minutes somewhere along the way - or may do.

I've been a customer of Top Embroidery since the company first started so I've grown to know the team pretty well. I've had all my workwear embroidered by them since I started my business nearly 15 years ago. Their attention to detail is second to none and I've had the chance to compare their work with that of other, similar operations and the difference is remarkable. I need to present a quality image to my customers so smart workwear with high quality embroidery is crucial. Having seen what other embroidery operations pass off as acceptable, I really wouldn't consider going anywhere else. With my countless orders, I've always been extremely happy with how I'm dealt with. Their staff are knowledgable, helpful and conscientious. Highly recommended.

I've been a customer of Citroemech for getting on for 20 years so I reckon I know them pretty well. They've looked after all my cars, my wife's cars and now my daughter's car. They score top marks on all the important things you look for in a garage. Their knowledge is excellent. They're honest - you really can trust them. Their mechanics are friendly and helpful. Their charges are fair - you're not getting ripped off. I'm a very satisfied customer.

The way to judge a company is how it deals with cock-ups. I was sent an item that was clearly a return because a component of it was broken and had been stuck back together with sticky tape, which had partially disintegrated. When I peeled the tape off, it left a load of goo behind. It was obviously a very old repair. I was initially offered £30 compensation without any proposal to replace or repair the damage. Clearly of no use whatsoever. After a further complaint, they picked up the damaged part saying that they planned to replace it. In fact, they returned it repaired but still covered in sticky goo. I have been sold a shop refurbished/repaired item as new. After more calls, deliveries and collections, I ended up with what could pass for a new product and I'm happy. It could all have been so much simpler.

This pub seems to be the heart of the pretty village of Ashprington, in which it sits. As a pub and restaurant it excels. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is warm and the other customers were engaging and chatty. Oh yes, and the food. My wife and I stayed there for three days so we sampled a good selection of the menu between us and everything we had was well presented and utterly delicious. However, special mention has to go to the burger. The thing about burgers is that everyone makes them. If there's one dish you'll find on every menu, it'll be a burger. But some restaurants try to do them properly and the Durant Arms really does them so very properly. I'm not one prone to photographing my food but I was so impressed I took a quick snap. I've uploaded it to their Google+ page. It was simply the best burger I can remember. So why only four stars? Well, we stayed three nights and the accommodation was pretty good generally but the bed let it down. It was horrible. It was too small for two tall adults, the mattress was cheap and nasty and felt like it was covered in in thick plastic (have they had a problem with bed wetters?) and the bed rattled and wobbled around. We struggled to get even half a decent night's sleep. In fact on the last morning we were awake so early that we left by about 06:00, drove the three and a half hours home and went to bed. Oh and they need to sort the WiFi out. If you're going to offer WiFi (and, these days, you really need to) then it has to work properly throughout your establishment. If you have thick stone walls then put a hotspot in every room. It's not expensive and it avoids the frustration of trying to get on-line to keep your business ticking over while you're away.

Filthy. Tables all covered on dirty plates. Air of neglect. Not a good experience.
