Isnt this a better option than sending all into gastric bypass/band surgery? (costing alot more! )
A sweethearted commercial deal like this? Certainly not.
The NHS works best when it gives out the most care using efficient, effective, and inexpensive methods. Sending people to Weight Watchers is not only inexpensive, but unhelpful. Perhaps it would be better if the NHS provides its own dieting courses for the obese, cut out the middle man, save costs, and provide a better service.
At least they are doing something now instead of just complaining how much diabetes costs the NHS - It's a start!!
