Vedauwoo - My New Weekend Destination

Personal Portfolio Work

I had the pleasure of trying out a great lightweight tent during my time in Patagonia last month. Nemo Equipment sent me the Espri 2P to t... A Hampi New Year. You could say I was looking for something different. This year I didn't want some drunken New Year party topped with poppers and horns .

The next Bob Dillan The AirBNB I stayed in near Bourbon street had awesome decor. I shot a photo of the chair,  but it was missing something. A subject.  Then I died.

Something Out of the Ordinary
I did a shoot a few weeks ago for Madelife  that was a departure from my typical work. The concept, models, makeup, and styling was done by interns at Madelife. They were filming a video of the project, which I'm excited to see.

Crack Climbing in Veadawoo, WY
Spent the weekend in Veadawoo with some great guys climbing some sharp granite crack. Vincent working hard placing pro on the first pitch of Friday the 13th, a fantastic 5.10a (sandbagged) hand crack with a greasy finish. Hanging out above the trees, Vincen...
We were surrounded by storms on three sides with lightning streaking through the sky, but we had nothing but spectacular weather. I slept out under the stars both nights. The sunset reflecting off a cumulonimbus storm cloud. Vincent prepping his tape glove for the day.

Katie and Dennis Preview
I don't often shoot weddings, but Katie, when my good friend from high school, asked me to shoot hers I was honored. You hear horror stories of bridezillas and horrible families, but this was not one of those. This was a fun one. Congrats Katie and Dennis! ...

After wrapping a big shoot on Thursday, I took off Friday to the Great Sand Dunes National Park - one of my favorite places in Colorado. I already can't wait to go back. Hopefully I will have time to post more of the photos here soon. I have a huge backlog of posts to do since February.

Introduction
The world can teach you a thing or two. She's definitely given me a few things to think about. I've worked all over her globe with a diverse set of clients that offer a diverse set of challenges, every one of them a learning opportunity. Whether I'm hanging off a frozen waterfall shooting ice climbing or in a studio working with a model I am adapting, learning, and improving. I've created a mobile studio in the middle of a wild adventure race in southern Patagonia and fought with monkeys to keep my grapes in southern India. Whatever the challenge I will get the shot.

With my photography background firmly formed in the commercial advertising arena, I bring that attention to detail and technical process to adventure photography. And I've spent my entire life adventuring, so I can get any angle you can imagine.

I feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place as Boulder, CO. When I'm not shooting for clients I'm out climbing rocks or frozen waterfalls, or I'm out cruising down a mountain on my skis.

Thank you for checking me out and I look forward to working with you.
Please, check out my portfolios

Camping in the non-electric sites would be quite nice if it wasn't RIGHT next to the highway. Constant road noise ruined our evening.
