What I'm saying today to a conference of corporate travel managers:

"Establish trust with travelers, instead of pushing policy. Democratize, share, socialize managed travel as a new business model. Come out from behind the wall of procurement and share what you do, so they understand you better. Like @McCandless encouraged you to rethink data in his keynote, also reconsider your relationships with travelers in a rapidly changing Web.

Travel management is about being influential and influence is based on trust. You can use Social Media to establish that trust.
