Penguins don't have teeth. But they do have backward facing spines in their throats. Ouch.

The tufted coquette ( Lophornis ornatus ) is a tiny #hummingbird that breeds in eastern Venezuela, Trinidad, Guiana, and northern Brazil. It is an uncommon, but widespread species, which appears to be a local or seasonal migrant, although its movements are not well understood. This small bird inhabits open country, gardens, and cultivation. It is 6.6 cm long and weighs 2.3 g. The black-tipped red bill is short and straight.

Setting the standard for marketing overkill:

Seriously, I've seen car ads that were pathetic by comparison.

Our first time dining here. Very pleased with the quality and presentation of the Dragon Roll we shared, and really surprised with the size of the Bento dinners; great value. Left happy and full.

Fast Trac responded promptly to our urgent call for help to replace the suddenly plugged-up rock-pit that used to protect our below-grade basement from flooding; heavy rain was due in a few days. Looking at my emailed photos, Craig suggested a plan much simpler, faster and more cost-effective than what I initially asked for. On Monday morning a very experienced efficient operator showed up with his excavator. He listened to my concerns and suggestions, and started working. By Tuesday afternoon everything was cleaned up, the new 24" sump was cemented in place, and the yard over the new rock-pit was compacted and smooth. On Wednesday the rains came... and drained quietly away. I remain extremely impressed with the courtesy, speed, and especially the competency of Fast Trac in resolving our problem, every time it rains.

Great location, room appointments and service. The included breakfast was a great way to start the day. I liked the in-room safe for storing valuables (many higher end hotels still don't offer these.) A comfy pleasant stay, thank you!

Visiting the area for a few days and dropped in with a vintage buckle of non-standard width to see if they could make a belt for me. They happened to have a blank on hand and cut it down to fit the buckle. Very happy with the finished belt, just the way I wanted it.

Great job! Was in area for a family wedding and needed tire replacement for the groom's car on the day of the rehearsal. Bob provided a spot-on analysis of the problems, and Tonya expedited ordering the needed tires, and the shop turned the replacement and re-alignment around within a narrow time window. Good prices, excellent service (and comfy waiting room chairs!) Recommended to my son that he continue to bring his car here.
