RMHC is a truly wonderful organization and, with the help of their partners, does absolutely incredible things for families! We had the great pleasure of telling a similar story for one of our clients, Blakes LLP, a couple of years ago. Blakes | Happy Holidays

Monster deal this #BlackFriday - See a monster black hole artistic pic as part of our #BlackHoleFriday:

This artist's concept illustrates a supermassive black hole with millions to billions times the mass of our sun. Supermassive black holes are enormously dense objects buried at the hearts of galaxies. (Smaller black holes also exist throughout galaxies.) In this illustration, the supermassive black hole at the center is surrounded by matter flowing onto the black hole in what is termed an accretion disk. This disk forms as the dust and gas in the galaxy falls onto the hole, attracted by its gravity.

Also shown is an outflowing jet of energetic particles, believed to be powered by the black hole's spin. The regions near black holes contain compact sources of high energy X-ray radiation thought, in some scenarios, to originate from the base of these jets. This high energy X-radiation lights up the disk, which reflects it, making the disk a source of X-rays. The reflected light enables astronomers to see how fast matter is swirling in the inner region of the disk, and ultimately to measure the black hole's spin rate.

Google Inc.’s dominance of the U.S. Internet search market slipped last month in the biggest drop since 2009 while Yahoo! Inc. posted its largest share gain, as the companies grappled with the fallout of a search deal on Firefox browsers.

LEGO Star Trek- The Borg

Wow... Just wow!

Shawn Snyder's LEGO bust of the Borg from Star Trek is an amazing piece of work. Human shapes are really difficult to achieve with LEGO blocks so this is really good.

The bust is just shy of 2 feet tall and 1 foot in depth. And yes the lights do light up.

The Food Dudes are not just caterers and restaurateurs, they are culinary masters of entertainment driven food design. We met the partners several years ago and began working together for their online marketing. It wasn't long until we were hiring them to cater our weddings and our own events, and the feedback was always the same - "WOW!". For our 15th anniversary in particular the food was such a stand-out that people simply refused to leave until it was completely done. The Food Dudes make the kind of cuisine that makes you sad when it's finished, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are at the top of their game, and the top of Toronto's food scene.

I have had the great pleasure of working with Johnson Chou and his team on 3 projects now, each one being an inspiring and successful endeavour. Our first project was the renovation of our second Pixelcarve office at 96 Spadina Avenue. As a very old concrete building, formerly used as a sewing factory, we were concerned it would be an overwhelming and expensive challenge. But Johnson and his team imagined a space so beautiful, unique and functional that to this day (5 years later) we get positive comments from every single person who walks in. The cost to build it was far less than we expected, and there is no question in my mind that it has directly lead to new business for us – not just because it’s impressive to look at, but because it so perfectly captures and reflects our personality, style and values. The next project was on a much larger scale, but handled just as gracefully by JCI. The project was the complete renovation of 2 condo buildings downtown, including 2 lobbies and over 50 stories of hallways. Again Johnson’s team impressed by capturing the unique personality of our community and creating a visual narrative that beautifully portrayed our dream living space. The 3rd project is the design of a pre-construction 4000sqf personal residence, which required some very creative layout solutions. JCI’s team again solved seemingly insurmountable space design challenges with ease, portraying expert skillsets at not only making spaces breathtakingly beautiful, timeless and personal, but also functional. I cannot say enough about what a wonderful experience it is to work with Johnson Chou and his team, other than to say try it for yourself and you will be delighted with the results. When the project is done, you will wonder how you ever could have done it without them.

My wife and I are expecting our first child so we visited a number of baby stores this past weekend, including Marlene's. We were amazed at the personal service we experienced. Marlene was very open and friendly and spent a great deal of time with us and several other expectant parents in the store explaining a wide variety of items from strollers (she did multiple demonstrations), car seats, cribs, etc. Even knowing we didn't intend to buy that very day she still went out of her way to help us and we felt very taken care of. We highly recommend Marlene and her store to others, and will definitely be returning when we are ready to make our final decisions.
