"Rakowski says Google has also done a "ton of work on improving overall performance" with this release"

This. I don't care much for all the other additions and tweaks. I just want overall better performance, which is still a far cry from the Kit-Kat days. If they can fix some of the lingering RAM issues (and yes, they are there) then I'll be more than satisfied.

The one thing that LG needs to convince me on is the performance. I owned the G3 for about a month last year, and I loved almost everything about the phone...except for the performance. There was way too much jerkiness, jittering, and stuttering throughout the UI that made the overall experience disappointing. Mediocre performance is a dealbreaker for me, and if LG has solved those problems, this could be my next.
