Crossroads Ibogaine Treatment Center
Introduction

Crossroads Ibogaine Treatment Center is one of the first Ibogaine addiction facilities in the world. It was started by Dr. Martin Polanco, who has more than 15 years of experience helping people heal addiction with Ibogaine. With a team of medical doctors, nurses, former addicts who used Ibogaine to beat addiction, skilled therapists, and empathetic house staff, Crossroads provides a fully integrated approach to healing addiction. Our mission is to provide every guest with the most life-changing healing experience possible.

Our state-of-the-art treatment facility, comprehensive counseling program, and luxurious accommodations will make your Ibogaine treatment the experience of a lifetime. Our program is overseen by highly experienced medical staff: our medical directors have studied and worked with institutions such as Johns Hopkins, the University of Texas, and UCLA’s Semel Institute, and are regularly featured on popular podcasts and quoted in media publications.

Crossroads’ Ibogaine treatment offers a better addiction treatment option than any other approach. With the ability to eliminate physical and psychological withdrawals from heroin, methamphetamine, alcohol, crack/cocaine, and other substances, Ibogaine will help you get back on track so that you can create a life free of addiction. We are one of the only Ibogaine centers to offer multiple treatment plans, consisting of three days, seven days, five weeks, and even longer as needed. We pride ourselves in our Ibogaine heroin treatment and our Ibogaine treatment for opiate addiction. We believe in providing an experience that begins with your first call and continues long after you leave our facility. Follow-up and and continuing education mean you will maximize your opportunity for recovery.

At Crossroads Ibogaine Treatment Center we take safety very seriously. Our medical clinic is outfitted with technologically modern hospital equipment that includes an EKG, defibrillator, vein finder, and medicines for every type of emergency. We are located next to one of the most well-respected hospitals in Mexico, and we have two emergency room doctors and two full-time nurses onsite at all times. Our medical center also features a yoga/meditation lounge, a rooftop hot tub, as well as a botanical garden.

During your 7-day Ibogaine detox treatment you will spend time at both of our excellent facilities and while you will only stay at our medical center for two days while you are undergoing the Ibogaine treatment; the rest of your experience will be spent at our beautiful beachfront residence. You will be treated to holistic food, prepared by an American chef, and your very own private quarters in which to reside. Further, the staff includes physicians and American counselors to ensure optimal growth and an environment of well-being. We want you to enjoy your time before, during, and after your treatment to make sure that you are prepared to move forward into a new phase of your life, addiction-free.

We also offer programs for individuals not suffering from addiction. With our unique, three-day personal growth and transformation Iboga therapy weekend retreats, you will be working closely with our counselors. They incorporate advanced principles of metaphysics, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and more to help you achieve improved well-being and growth. You will have the chance to accomplish more in one weekend than most people achieve with 10 years of self-improvement work, all in a safe and supportive environment.

At Crossroads, we not only want to provide effective Ibogaine treatment, but also ensure you leave on a path to a better life. To that end, we partner with Being True to You, a recovery coaching group that specializes in Ibogaine aftercare. This long-term option is available to you when you wish to maintain continued therapy from professionals that understand the most efficient ways to utilize the amazing benefits of Ibogaine treatment for lifelong success.

Many addicts suffer not only from addiction, but from mental health issues that have helped create the addiction in the first place. Our answer in many cases is jail time, as if that offers some kind of hope. But what addicts need is treatment that works, not time behind bars.

I am a lawyer and was recently in a Manhattan courtroom when the judge called the case of a young woman in her early 20s who was arrested in the summer of 2015 on a felony drug charge. The young woman was a heroin addict with significant mental health challenges.

Many addicts are funneled in and out of various rehab centers. The problem? Almost every rehab center in the USA is based on the same underlying philosophies. So, how can someone expect to progress when they do the same thing over and over?

The reality is, if you have been to rehab several times with moderate to no success, it isn't your fault.

Although much of the fight has been behind the scenes, activists still work around the clock to get Ibogaine, and other psychedelic medicines, legalized.

Cannabis, kratom, and ibogaine have all proven effective in fighting opiate addiction, and marijuana money could help make a difference

With the opioid epidemic gaining traction, many in politics and at the FDA still want to ban Kratom, even though it has helped many individuals get off of opiates. But if Kratom is helping so many people with very little impact, why do some still want to outlaw it?

LSD, mushrooms, ayahuasca, ketamine--all of these drugs are getting some very heavy attention in the ways they deal with depression and addiction. What is interesting is that Ibogaine, mother nature's medicine that specifically targets addiction, is not getting much attention at all.

As some psychedelic lead the way, the rest will follow. But serious lives could be saved with more Ibogaine availability worldwide.

Ayahuasca is piquing the interests of Western scientists due to its medicinal and therapeutic potential.

Looking for a place to process your psychedelic experience? The Center for Optimal Living in New York is doing just that. They offer a place for individuals to gather and discuss psychedelic experiences in a community setting.

"'Psychedelics can facilitate a deep openness to exploration that can[...]lead to spiritual or transcendent experiences which really can give rise to a very different sense of relationship to life, to the planet and to spirituality,' Tatarsky says. 'In some cases this can be very positive, but in some cases it can be extremely difficult, particularly if people kind of open up and make contact with repressed conflicts or dissociated trauma.'"

"While we may not condone substance use, we need to really meet it with acceptance, compassion and support."

If you haven't read this yet, this is a great interview with our founder, Dr. Martin Polanco, talking about psychedelic medicine and his philosophies on how Ibogaine can help treat not only addiction, but the person as a whole.

One reason drug addiction is such a strong force in the brain.

"Here is what the research has found. In drug addiction, wanting (desire) is no longer connected to liking (pleasure.)

The drug addict seeks, but is never really satisfied due to tolerance from using the abusing substance."

Psilocybin, the main psychoactive component in magic mushrooms, has been called a "surgical intervention" of the brain. Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide, and studying this type of treatment for depression could lead us to an unexpected cure.

Psychedelic medicine-an interesting theory as to why psychedelics are illegal.

"'Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third-story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behaviour and information processing.'"

While we are still unclear of the entire spectrum of benefits marijuana can offer those struggling with certain conditions, we do know that it does have benefits. And while we do not know all the harmful effects of marijuana, many scientists believe it to be much safer than many of the pharmaceutical drugs that are readily available to consumers.

"So what are some of the arenas with the most substantial evidence? For one, it seems pretty clear that cannabis products help treat chronic pain, prevent nausea in cancer patients under chemotherapy, and improve patient-reported outcomes for muscle problems in people with multiple sclerosis. There's also moderate evidence that cannabis and cannabinoids improve sleep for people with a range of disorders (chronic pain, sleep apnea, etc.) in the short-term."

Treatment resistant depression, or TRD, is a type of depression where individuals are resistant to pharmaceutical drugs. However, one neuroscientists says that Ketamine, taken intravenously under medical supervision, could be the most important breakthrough for depression we have ever discovered.
