Listening to your body and what it's trying to tell you may be the best thing you ever do for yourself!

Your body communicates with you all the time.

It tells you when you're tired, when you need to refuel and hydrate, if you are getting sick and need to sleep or if you are too stressed.

However, in recent times it's become clear that we deliberately ignore our bodies messages to be able to deal with modern day pressures.

This, however, is not always a good thing!

Here are 4 reasons as to why you should start listening to your body again!

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL! HERE'S HOW TO BOOST YOUR SELF-CONFIDENCE

Body image in our modern society is a large part of our daily life. We obsess over how we look and how we can look better.

With unrealistic expectations placed on us to reach an unachievable look, a worrying 90% of women are unhappy with their body image.

This pressure causes a whole host of problems for people like eating disorders, substance abuse, depression, suicidal thoughts and general unhappiness.

1 in 3 women will experience ‘just a diet’ turning into pathological dieting, and almost all, 90%, feel a general unhappiness from negative body image.

Considering the statistics you've probably felt this way too. It’s not fun and it’s stressful…. but it can be changed.

So how do you avoid something so prevalent in today’s society?

Here are some tips for helping you find inner peace with your body image and confidence struggles.

There is the notion that strong is becoming the new sought after 'look' that is highly socially acceptable...

Women can now chase after being fit, lifting weights and being healthy instead of confined to running, aerobics classes and eating low-calorie meals...

For me, I want to lift heavy things, be able to sprint at top speed across a field and eat nutritious, calorie dense meals...

I want to perform and you should too!

Growing up there was always a stigma attached to women doing weightlifting

You're told running is the best way to burn calories and lose weight

Like that's the only thing you should care about...

But Science has proven that a mixture of lifting weights and cardio is waaayyy
better at burning calories and for weight loss than cardio alone...

PLUS

Women are STRONG.

We can lift and we can look amazing doing it.

We now don’t have to worry about getting too bulky because we know that’s a myth. We see now that training weights will not make us huge

It cultivates confidence, strength and empowers...
