“There was not a dry eye in the room, and certainly you could hear a pin drop the entire time you spoke. I realized how life changing your story was to me. You see, in my early twenties, I was a goal setter, and had the gut driven inspiration to not stop at obtaining any goal I set. I have since lost this over the years, due to major priorities, and the changing of my focus off of me in becoming a single mother. However, I realized my potential, and the drive I once felt. At that very moment in time, I felt it again! It was such an awesome feeling and I thank you for that.” Alexis from Blue Cross Blue Shield

Thanks to Beth, Julia, and Saidee, our great helpers from NDSU who helped us get ready for spring. We are so thankful for our volunteers!

“One of the best experiences I’ve had at CCRI was when I took the young lady that I was working with to do her first 5K at the Fargo Marathon. She was so excited with a smile spread all the way across her face. When the marathon started, she was in her wheelchair being pushed by a friend, but about a block from the finish line I helped her out of her chair and she started walking. It was an incredible experience to see the joy on her face as people on the sidelines cheered her on as she walked across the finish line!”
