The trend of launching LEGO toys into space continues: a father and son send a LEGO space shuttle into high altitude using a weather balloon. Be sure to watch the last minute of the video because the space shuttle travelled to 35,000 meters high.(via +PSFK)

Someday, it will break an astronaut leg ! :D

Just kidding (or am I ?), that's awesome ! (But really, stop throwing things into space you wouldn't throw in a forest... It pollutes
An incredible view. Thank you for such an opportunity. I want to go again!
+1 if u liked the ice on the front of it or if u thought the fist music was random
It's a lego spaceship. It is kinda cool and i know it would be hard to build it, but still, who wants to see a lego spaceship. Really.
Boldly going where our government doesn't care to anymore. Awesome!
I wanna see it plummet back to the earth's surface...
I love how people keep sending shit into space. Its not like it stays in orbit our anything.
nice thinking....but what is the name of the song..really nostalgic one
That was way Cool Raul, I liked how the strings stayed invisible until it was high enough to see over the horizon ! Only problem was, it messed up before the end, so I didn't get to see that portion ! Thanks all thye same, I dug it !
That is too freaking cool.
I think I saw an Acclamator-class Assault Ship for a moment...
It looks fake at 1st, but when u said u retrieve it from going 35,000 mi/hr, I was amazed. :O
It's kinda a wast of Lego, but still awesome!
This probably the only Lego Shuttle in space! Congratulations...Well done!
+marius codrut : How did they able to take video of the travel? They sent a wireless camera along with it? Thats unbelievable for me too.
We have this assembled Lego shuttle at home. My nephew loves, and so do I. I am going to show that video to him later tonight. :)
Anyone who is worried about polluting space - Stuff up here either falls back to earth and disintegrates during the fall or drifts off until it falls into a planet/star/black hole. It will never really become a problem for anyone
+marius codrut and +Ahmed Nizam they used gps for tracking the location of the camera. Obviously camera fell on earth. The song it's from 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) movie.
All I have to say is "WTF!?" and "HOW THE HECK!?" and "LOL!" and "WOWERAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". How the shit did get is 20 odd miles upward?
That's pretty cool, but also a little sad that the Lego people are doing better than we are in space. :-(
Sounds like something my engineering class might do... :)
awesome! It's a pity there is no more real space shuttles to be launched in the near future.
I wonder what aliens watching us are thinking?? What the hell are they doing?? They're probably confused as hell as to why these people are launching toys into space. Haha
as I'm watching the balloon climb I'm somewhat impressed... by the time it nears the end my jaw dropped... incredible footage... great tribute to the shuttle program!
yes an excellent tribute to a pivotal stage in Human history!!
I too, really want to see it plummet back to Earth. Can someone please do this with a time released latch on the umbilical?

Man that would be fun to see.
