Congrats to Jon Delbrugge on his 7th professional MMA victory. After stunning his opponent on the feet, Jon finished him with a head and arm choke. #mma #baltimore #shogunfights

I started training at Crazy 88 in October and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I always had an interest in mixed martial arts, but did not think I would be good or strong enough. The idea of having to display physical weakness and vulnerability in front of others was intimidating enough to keep me from going to a place like this for years, even though I really enjoyed combatives training in the Army. When I finally decided to give it a try, the experience was more enriching, engaging, and positive than I could have imagined. When I started jiu-jitsu and muay thai, everyone at the gym was extremely friendly, helpful, and supportive, and I never felt like I was being judged. It was an easy transition as I started to understand the art behind MMA. Training at Crazy 88 gives you the opportunity to train with world class champions and coaches who are the best at what they do. It does not matter what your goals are: self-defense, competing, or staying fit. You will be welcomed and you will see progress and growth in more than one area of your life. I used to spend hours at the gym every week on an elliptical or track and dread every single second. I had to bribe myself into getting out of my car. At Crazy 88, I’m excited to go and to tell other people about what we do. MMA is not only a practical and useful form of training and being fit, but it is fun and exciting. You will never be bored or feel the monotony of the average gym. There are classes for every type of schedule and the gym has a fantastic kids and daycare program. As someone who works full-time, goes to law school at night, and is part of the Army Reserves, I still have time to go 3-4 times a week. Despite my schedule, I find time to go because the experiences I walk away with at the end of every class make every drop of sweat worth it.

Crazy 88 is a special place. From the facility, to the instructors, to the other students, everyone is welcoming, supportive, and trying to make you better. The owner, Julius, is a fantastic teacher, coach, and mentor for all his students. This is my first experience with martial arts and my only regret is that I didn't find Crazy 88 sooner.

I have been training at Crazy 88 since 2009 and this has been the best martial school that I have had to pleasure to train at. It is a huge facility, lots of friendly people from all different ages and backgrounds and the best instructors in the DMV area. It is engineered for people who want to get a great workout, learn a martial art, or compete at the highest level so it is definitely for everybody. It has been a life changing experience for myself and I am sure it will be the same for you. Do yourself a favor and check out the facility and see for yourself how great the school is!

I highly recommend Crazy 88’s for adults and children. We started our daughter at Crazy 88’s in September 2012, when she was starting 3rd grade. Prior to 88’s, she tried all different team sports, and we decided that team sports were not really her thing. We tried Tae Kwon Do, but felt she spent a majority of class waiting in line for her turn. A friend recommended that we try Crazy 88’s. Since joining in 2012, we have enrolled our other 2 children and started taking adult classes. Our kids have become part of the aftercare program and summer camp. The kid’s coaches are young athletes and great role models. They are able to keep the kids engaged from the start of the class. I have been happy with all the classes and programs we have been involved in.
