The perfect fusion of southern comfort food & California cool make up this rustic upscale resto on Polk Street. A young hip vibe pervades every corner of the restaurant from the open seating plan to the fun lively nature of the staff. The Fried Chicken dish was a standout at our table however I loved the New York steak with parisian gnocchi and red corn. An outstanding selection of drinks and a bartender that can mix up the perfect Sazerac is only fitting in this SouthernStyleCali spot.

What a #midtownlunch gold mind just blocks from the office. The old world charm of meat hung about and a chalkboard menu are enough to make anyone a believer that this place is for real! The Veneto w/ Soppresetto is off the charts amazing and can be enhanced with Prosciuto and sweet peppers to balance out the hot and tangy. The best sandwich in the lot however is the Massimo il Grande! Trust me it's a stand out among gold stars! Everything in here is fresh to a fault. The lines get very long at lunch and even a call ahead order isn't completed until you show up. That can be a bit annoying but I assure you the wait is well worth it. You'll forgive any wait after the 1st bite! One of my @NewForkCityNY top picks for westside eateries in Midtown!

Zagat pretty much nailed it with adjectives like "Stylishly chic" and "Not to be missed" but it's totally true. It's the hip of hip places to have dinner and you can always count on "being seen" if not seeing someone "famous" yourself! The menu features classic french faire along with several locally inspired dishes. Locals know to wait out the busy season and indulge during the off-season when 50% off deals abound. The french brasserie style is identifiable the moment you walk into the lavishly decorated main dining room. A short escape into the bathroom adds the finishing touch with plush velvet walls for the large well appointed wash rooms.

The BEST Sushi shop in Aspen Hands Down!!! Two large bars to eat at, a huge seating area, and a great downtown location all serve Kenichi well. I prefer to sit at the bar, and although they don't offer "Omakase" style dining they do cater to nearly anyones Sushi fancy with a decadent and fun list of sushi options. The rolls range from the outlandish to traditional to standard with and Aspen twist. Highly knowledgable diners expect the best and Kenichi always delivers. The staff is friendly accomodating and easy on the eyes. I recommend the Greentail roll & an order of Spicy Edamame! Kompai

Jimmy's is in my top 5 places to eat in Aspen. The food is always made with a high quality standard which shows in every dish. I've eating at Jimmy's a handful of times and even once had the privilege of taking a behind the scenes tour into the kitchens with the Chef. The "Tomahawk" steak is a personal favorite but call ahead to make sure its available (best ordered during the XGames when it's sure to be on-hand). The bar when you walk in is always a lively place to start the night. A round of Dark and Stormy's and an appetizer of the mac n cheese will get the party going nicely. An outdoor patio doesn't have the best view but on a cold crisp winter night it's a great place to take it all in.

this is a hipster hot spot and at 25-cents a game it's got me hooked too. simple decor: bar & vintage video games. so easy. this would be a great spot to rent out for a birthday party or video game event. i can only imagine what this place would be like with a set of 5 skee-ball courts...

I mostly frequent this place later in the evening so I can't speak to the menu with much authority. At night as a local aspen watering hole The Red Onion has it all, sometimes too much of somethings in fact. The bar is busy and the crowd is usually a lively mix of tourists and locals, (usually congregating in the back). The drinks are priced to move and the pours are usually spot on. The draft beer selection leaves much to be desired especially with the countless micro-brews just a few hours away in Denver.

This is the best little coffee shop in town with a menu packed full of surprises. Peaches features fresh made daily bakery options from local purveyors like Louis Swiss while offering "homemade" treats right alongside. An every changing (daily) brown paper menu with specials are not to be overlooked. I personally recommend the Burrito with fresh tomatillo and the Baileys, Kahlua, Godiva specialty drink. A standard menu of favorites is also available. Most mornings I'm in Aspen you can find me here with a coffee, Louis Swiss pastry & the Aspen Times. The view from the corner alfresco seating is beautiful.

cheap drinks in this divey-ish bar on metropolitan ave. the free pizza offers a decent drunkards draw but the low-key vibe and cheap specials make this a huge hit late night.
