I setup the @Westcott Spiderlight TD6s over the weekend and had some fun with a photography buddy of mine, teaching him the ins and outs of using a continuous lighting system. I do love that soft light.

My buddy Mike, his dog Bran, his new kilt, and a bottle of whiskey. Throw in a couple of Westcott strobes some remote flashes with gels and you have yourself a party.

Westcott is having a contest to celebrate the launch of two new products in the Apollo line. Their Apollo products are amazingly portable and effective (and really easy to setup and take down.) You can check out the contest here http://bit.ly/oe2iOV

Shot from +Scott Kelby's 4th Annual World Wide Photo Walk in Washington, D.C. with +Jeff Revell. It was a rainy overcast day, but we still had a blast.

A couple of shots from the Civil War Reenactments this past weekend in Luray Virginia. Apparently I was in the line of fire. (I admit I was shooting a Canon directly at him.)

Sad I'm not in Vegas at PSW so I thought I would dig through my photos from last year and process one I hadn't played with yet. Here is a shot from the Westcott Booth 2010 edition.

Added a little Silver Effects Pro per +RC Concepcion suggestion. Has a nice foreboding look to it now. Looks like the storm is coming instead of going.

After reading +RC Concepcion comment the other day it seemed like a good day to go produce an over done HDR just to beat back the nay sayers. (Plus we had some great clouds left over from the big storm and it seams a shame to waste them. :)

Just gave Scott Kelby's "Scott 5" Photoshop HDR setting a try. The clouds were a little over baked so I toned them back a bit. Throw in some NIK adjustments and TaDa HDR in photoshop. Still like the NIK and Photomatix process better, but it is nice to have a better understanding of how to do it directly in Photoshop.
