Ok, I'm crossposting from FB, so apologies if you already saw me post this.

My friend Kristin needs a kidney transplant which of course means she needs a matching donor. She's type O, but apparently they can work out these multi-donor, multi-recipient shares so you might be able to help even if you aren't O. Can you help her out?

Do I just crosspost Facebook items here? Tweets (if I ever have any of course)? Do I have to think of other things that somebody might find interesting, or at least I don't find too embarrassing?

Interesting article. First because I never would have expected that NJ is 2 or even that CO is 3 and second because of the reasons things have worked in NJ that it raises.
New Jersey has more solar power installed than Nevada and Colorado—combined. We look at how the garden state came to lead in renewable power, and why that should be viewed as a national failure.

For all the advances in solar cell manufacturing, we're still stuck with high cost low/medium efficiency arrays. Maybe its time for a Manhattan Project for solar technology

It's a Costco. The selection doesn't seem to be as good as the one in Arvada, but it also doesn't seem to get quite as crowded. I've always found the cashiers to be particularly friendly.

For a divey restaurant Leo's is great. The sandwiches are good and there's plenty of options to choose from. The prices are pretty good too and the service is quick.

Traveling in and out of DIA is usually great. I haven't seen big security delays in a long time. The airport manages large crowds well and the recent changes in food options have made choices much better. DIA does a great job managing the impacts of weather on flights which is important when you consider that bad weather is possible here any time of the year. Opening of the light rail line to the airport in a few months should be the icing on the cake. My only complaint is that the new hotel blocks the iconic view of the terminal when I drive up to the airport now.

The hotel is fine. The rooms are the same as other Aloft hotels; modern and well sized. There's a bar with a pool table. Personally I don't like the breakfast served at Alofts, but the food quality and price are good. The menu just isn't to my taste.

Dulles has improved dramatically over the past ten years. There are more and better dining options in the concourses and the train is a big improvement on the old people movers. With the construction around the train there is much more room for security and the flow of people is more efficient. Rental cars are still a bit of a mess because of the Metro construction. Hopefully that will get better once the construction is complete. Note that Dulles requires a lot of walking. More than many other large airports in my opinion.
