Do you fit the happiest or unhappiest PR pro profile? http://www.allthingsic.com/sop/ < the State of the Profession 2015 results are out from CIPR.

My take? The era of egos in Comms is over. It's time to step up and work alongside your colleagues and focus on what's right for your business, rather than churning out channels.

Share please: If you need to take part in the Black Friday #blackfriday madness, why not buy a toy for Shelter's campaign to ensure every kid has a toy on Xmas morning.

http://blog.scotland.shelter.org.uk/2014/11/17/want-to-do-something-amazing-this-christmas/#more-1838

Last year they only got 227 toys. I think we can do better than that - especially as Nationwide will accept drop-ins of toys.
You can help ensure even those kids without a permanent home won’t miss out on Christmas this year. The ‘<a title=#SocialMediaSanta on Ross McCulloch s blog href=http://rossmcculloch.

Oh come on. Yes, I get it that it's Day One for The National and papers need to make money online but Marketing 101 tells you that you at least give a sample away online - not a holding page with a link to a Digital Subscriptions page that suggests a Flash-style reading experience.
Yet again, far more proof - as I've been saying for years - that the death of Scottish journalism is more down to arrogant/lazy marketing and advertising departments than anything the journalists did.

A very good article about women trying - and succeeding - to make their way in the spirits world !
Jim, Jack and Johnnie … “It’s a man’s world” may never have been a truer saying than when applied to the world of spirits. At a glance, men seem to dominate the liquor shelf. But one does not need to look very hard to see that women have been influencing spirits since, well, pretty much …

My latest post looks at why not having a mobile friendly website may now have a negative impact on your rankings and the new "Mobile Friendly" tag that Google is rolling out for websites.
Last week (Tuesday (18 November) Google announced that they will be adding “Mobile Friendly” tags to the search results. This update will allow users to eas
