I work full-time for a wholesale tire distributor as a purchaser. I started this as a outlet for my love of everything technology. So most of the reviews and information about products are all my opinion and knowledge about said product. Don't shoot the messenger.
What I Use in Technology
For day to day work I use a iMac 21.5" Upgraded with an SSD running Windows 8. At home I have a custom built (by me) Windows 8 machine.
I am currently carrying a Windows Phone Nokia Lumia 1020
- iPod nano 16GB
- Amazon Kindle Paperwhite
- Zoom H1
- Canon 5D Mark II w/ 24-105mm f/4L Canon Lens
- Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L IS USM Macro Lens
- Canon 50mm f/1.4 USM
- Canon T2i as a backup
- Surface Pro

I am a customer of Charter Cable company, and use Windows Media Center as my DVR technology. As part of using WMC, I use Xbox 360's as extenders for Media Center. The central Media Center system is a custom built PC with 2 SiliconDust HDHomeRun Dual HD network OTA Tuners, and one Ceton InfiniTV 4 tuner card capable of recording 4 cable channels at once. My home network runs with 2 Netgear GS116NA as the backbone switch's, a Cisco RVS4000 as the broadband router, a Cisco Docsis 3.0 as the broadband modem, and a Cisco wireless Access point. The home theater consists of a 55" Samsung LED HDTV, a Sony BDP-S370 as the Blu-Ray player, a Logitech Harmony One, and a Onkyo TX-SR806. A photo of the home theater setup can be seen here (The photo is missing the Sony BDP-S370 and the new Xbox 360 Slim).
