Rolled up on this guy as I entered my apartment tonight. He was slithering past the front door of my building. Nice.

Did a little research. Pretty sure it's an Eastern Milk Snake. Got their name because they are often found in barns, where farmers used to think they were in there sucking milk from the cows. In fact, the milk snake is a pure constrictor, feeding on rodents and such.

This one was pretty big. Three feet at least.

Interesting to see a national story about VT that doesn't involve guns and people dying (it does have to do with the football team though, so...).

My take: build it somewhere else. I used to cut through those woods on my way to class (and the bars) back in the day. No reason to give in to EVERY whim of the athletic department. Right?
A group called Friends of Stadium Woods wants Virginia Tech to change its plans for taking down old-growth trees for a sports facility.

+James Kasuyi Of course it will.  Frank Beamer is more powerful than anyone in Blacksburg, and he'll get what he wants.  I guess that's okay...hehe....just keep winning, and maybe, just once, win a big game!! Sheesh.

I can now say that I have a 170 average. Not for long, but that's what happens when you open the league with 162 195 157. I'll take it... However short lived it will be. I'm thinking the new shoes made all the difference. "it's gotta be the shoes!!"

It's not just a bowling league. It's also a way for a couple of bachelors to feed themselves for a month. Good times!

Bowled like crap again. As +Jack Diederich said earlier, I peaked early. 124, 132, 128

Before thanksgiving the bowling league gives out turkeys for highest game over average in the 2nd game. A couple of my crew won. What are bachelors to do with a 20lb bird? I might need a larger crockpot.

203, 178, 179. 16 strikes, 9 spares, 8 opens.

More bad bowling the other night: 101, 138, 140. Nice recovery from the bad start though...and we won the match.
