I’m always impressed how so many people associate Dungeness crab with San Francisco. It almost seems like a February pattern. It never happens when the crab season begins in the  fall, but at this ...

Came here for a double birthday party. Really pricey for what was being served. Definitely geared to tourists. We ordered two Killer Crab Feasts (4 servings or 2 medium sized Dungeness Crabs per Feast) with secret garlic sauce (which didn't have much of a garlic taste). Steamed Mussels, Caesar Salad. Bruschetta. All average tasting. Garlic Noodles (that didn't have much garlic flavor). Service was slow. The Pineapple Mojitos were weak (for $11.95/glass I expect some alcohol). The place was crowded with tourists and the wait was long for them. On the plus side, the view was nice. Crab House let us bring in our two birthday cakes for us to serve and did not charge a cake cutting fee. They validate parking for 1 hr during lunch and 2 hrs during dinner hours. We came for lunch and even with 1 hr validation parking with still $18. Again, for what we ate and what this place charges for crab, not worth going back. There are many other places in San Francisco that serves Dungeness crab in garlic sauce that are better tasting, cost less and don't have to pay such an outrageous price to park.

Maybe we should have just stuck to Crab... We ordered a fried shrimp platter and fish n chips. The fried shrimp was bland the fries were so greasy I could even eat them. The fish n chips was NASTY. Big, watery/greasy chunks of fish. I almost barfed from the texture alone...Uggh IF we return, we will definetley stick to the crabs On top of that, its WAY overpriced.

If I could give The Crab House less stars, I would. This was absolutely the worst crab I have ever eaten. It was over cooked, and the shells splintered when trying to get the meat out. On the other hand, others in my party had chicken fettuccine and it was good. But, shouldn't The Crab House have good crab and seafood? All of the seafood orders were bad. Also, while the servers were friendly, the service was less than stellar. We had to ask multiple times to receive drink refills and part of our order that was missing. The missing part of the order finally appeared as we were ready to leave.

Damn good food. Had the crab feast and the crab salad, so good I almost crab my pants. Place is small, seating a bit cramped, and there is most likely a wait list, but if these things aren't an issue for you then Crab House is worth giving a try.

I think is the best restaurant for crabs in San Francisco area .Very professional crew and waiters. But is Very good in seafood for Americans not for Greeks, Italians and mediterranians. Because in Greece and Italy there are some of the best in the world sea foods restaurants.

You're crammed in like sardines. Overly stuffy to the point you can't breathe. The floors are coated with butter so it's a tripping hazard. Poor wait staff.
