Courtesy Chevrolet's founder Ed Fitzgerald started selling cars in LA right after WWII. He then moved to Phoenix and Started Courtesy Chevrolet in 1955. His family values and determination of treating customers with the utmost respect is still Courtesy's way of doing business. Bill Gruwell worked with Mr. Fitzgerald and later became the President of Courtesy Chevrolet.  We are now in our third generation of ownership with Scott Gruwell, (Bill's Son) now Vice President and General Manager.  Courtesy has been in the valley of the sun on Camelback Road in Phoenix since the early days.

I traded in my car for a newer one in Dec 2015. The person who assisted us Fabian Ocotila was great. He had a great attitude, friendly, had a willingness to help and was also training another gentleman. My new car is awesome...I love it. It took a while to get my car plates and everything situated for a bit but once fixed...everything has been good ever since. I would recommend going to check it out 😊 who knows....might see something you like and walk out with a new car 😁👍

I found the car I wanted on the internet and requested more information about it. Nate Rotolante was the first person to email me back and provided all information requested. Since I am from out of town and could not make it down to the dealership for a few weeks he kept in touch and provided updates. When I was able to drive to the dealership to check out the car he was very friendly and personable. Nate understood that I had another vehicle that I was looking at and didn't pressure me into not going to look at the other car. He helped me get the best deal for the car he had and it turned out to be a deal I couldn't refuse. Overall I had a great car buying experience with Courtesy and would recommend anyone to start here first to avoid the headaches of other dealerships.

To anyone looking to buy a new or used car, I highly recommend purchasing your next vehicle from Courtesy Chevrolet. From the moment I entered the showroom until I drove off the lot I was treated with the utmost respect. I find the typical sales process at other dealerships to be archaic and frustrating however at Courtesy the negotiation was transparent with a clear view of the numbers each step of the way. The delivery representative was highly knowledgeable in all aspects of the vehicle and help me to understand all of the features. (Chevy is doing some super cool things with their technology) Courtesy Chevrolet will be my "go to" dealership for any future vehicle purchase!

AJ in the maintenance or financial advisor in the maintenance department has been BEYOND helpful and his customer service is outstanding. I work six days a week which include 12 HR shifts at times. NO MATTER what PLEASE don't go to AMMCO on Glendale and 51st they quoted me at $1,5 K when Chevy is doing the repairs for HALF that price. Maybe it was because I'm a female or maybe not but what a scam! Anyway AJ texts me what's going on rather than playing phone tag like other shops I've been to and the fact that I simply can't afford all the repairs I need he offered to talk to his management team to see what he can do. Now there's nothing he guaranteed or promised, but the fact that he even made that comment made me feel relieved knowing Chevy employed a PERSON not a money hungry quota hustling scanner like AMMCO and their unnecessary repairs. Chevy is the best!!!

8 reviews 1.0 star rating 5/6/2016 Just wasted our Friday evening! My husband called on a Ford Explorer that was listed ready today. He spoke with Shola, in internet sales, to confirm that the vehicle was available and told him we would be down tonight to see it. He called again before we left to make sure Shola was available and to let him know we were on the way. He was told Shola was there and available. We arrived 15 minutes later and we were guided inside and left to wait for 15 minutes before another sales lady came to tell us Shola was working with another client, so she was going to take us to see the car. She was nice and got our two children crayons and coloring pages and water bottles for us all and then we walked to a tent where that apparently serves for their Used Car Sales. Again we were left waiting in what looked and sounded like a bad 80's wedding reception complete with round tables with red, blue and black table clothes. All that was missing was Adam Sandler on stage singing, but what the heck it is used cars. Their main showroom was nice. Finally the sales lady came back and said she couldn't find the car in the inventory. My husband offered her the stock number and she confirmed it was in the system ready for sale; however, it was in some area that was closed so she would have to check with her sales manage. Again we were left waiting. She finally returned and said it was in the area where the car is checked over before it can be sold, so it would be "a couple days" before it was ready. My husband said, "But I called and your internet ad shows it has been here 3 days and is ready for sale. The pictures show it on the lot and Shola told me it was available. He knew I was coming to see and drive it." She said we could see it, but couldn't drive it....that is once she found the vehicle. We could walk around with her or she could come back for us. Obviously at this point we were done and not interested in giving them any business. So disappointing, because we were in high hopes that as a long standing family run dealership that we would not experience the same old car dealership tactics we all know and deplore. More disappointing to us is we are a family that works 6 days a week and evenings and my husband happened to get off early. We had a nice dinner and movie planned, but instead grabbed fast food and drove down in the rain to see a vehicle that wasn't even available after we called to make sure it was. It is disrespectful and dishonest to advertise and verbally say that a vehicle is on the lot ready to go.

Search out Sterling Rieger at Courtesy. I bought a certified vehicle there last week when I was visiting from Seattle. Sterling personally delivered late a night to where we were staying and has been very responsive to follow up questions, even sending accessories I wanted after I'd returned to Washington.
