We are very sorry that you are having problems with your Rogue. We have tried to assist you in any way possible throughout the process of getting Nissan North America to cover your paint. Unfortunately Nissan corporate has denied the paint claim. The opinion is the paint is not a manufacture defect and could be caused by a number of environmental or other issues. Also your Rogue has 64,000 miles and is 28,000 outside of the warranty period. In an effort to maintain good customer relations we reached out to you and told you we would take your car in on trade and treat it as if there were no paint issue. We will still stand behind that offer if you would like to trade it. We looked at your car and offered you good KBB value for your trade. We will offer you that on new, pre-owned, or on a lease. It doesn’t matter to us if your purchase or lease we just wanted to offer you all your available options. If you felt manipulated, bullied, or patronized we offer you our sincerest apologies. We genuinely feel badly that you are having problems with your Nissan and that’s why we extended the offer of good KBB trade for your car even though it is worth a lot less due to the paint issue.
