During last week’s Hangout we continued our game design series with a look at the organization of our endless runner project. We also talked about the supporting files and the various bits and pieces that will be required before working with the code.

This week we’ll explore the Transition Easing sampler that we didn’t get to last week, and we’ll start writing code to create walls in our game.

Each week we’ll be adding new pieces to our game. Download the code from the repo and follow along: http://bit.ly/1LCqNJH

During last week’s Hangout we started a new game mechanics series with a focus on breaking down the various elements and mechanics of an existing endless runner game. We kicked off the discussion with a planning session to define what pieces should be included and what the rules of the game should be. We also spent some time discussing Corona’s Transition Library and how it can be used to add motion to your apps.

Replay Hangout #129:

During this week’s Hangout we’ll continue both conversations with a look how the endless runner game project will be set up and what various bits and pieces will be required before we start laying down lines of code. We’ll also look at a Transition Library easing sampler that Ed Maurina has put together to help us use and visualize the 40+ options that are available when using Transition Library in our apps.

I wanted to add.  You were all talking about that audio tool for sound effects.
I find that FL studios "Riff Machine" is a great way to get some looping music very quickly and effectively.
But its so fun to play with that you can still waste away hours on it.  lol

Will Samsung's coming new smart phone help Google profit from Android, or will Apple continue to dominate sales? #apple   #appstore   #android
Seventy percent of smartphones shipped last year were Android but that OS only accounted for 11 percent of total smartphone profits.
