The reintroduction of the Glass-Steagall act could significantly influence how many manage their day-to-day banking and investments. I have more than a handful of clients who have a rollover IRA or the like with the same bank that they have their checking and savings accounts.

If it passes, I think it'll continue to make it difficult to chase down that ever elusive interest rate from savings accounts and CODs and retirees will have to continue to seek other investment products, such as stocks and bonds, to provide income.

Worried about inheritance taxes?  Technically, 'inheritance tax' isn't a problem - that's a tax on money you receive.  There are other taxes to think about when planning an estate, though.
