This is my latest keynote address about rape stories, not rape stories, and how to be a better bystander. And it was the first time I publicly talked about my own rape.

My latest blog post: "Why We Suck So Much: Millennial Malaise and Our Bad Relationships"

I write from experience.

http://coriwong.com/2013/12/09/why-we-suck-so-much-millennial-malaise-and-our-bad-relationships/
I'm part of a lost generation, so despite all of the other things that I'd rather write about I've decided to sit down and write about being a fucking Millennial. I'm ashamed already. Please, don't...

I'm not saying I'm Miss America or the President or anything. I'm just saying that I get them. In some ways.

Some thoughts on the Zimmerman trial as a white feminist.
Thanks to social media I heard about  Zimmerman's acquittal within minutes of it happening, and just a few minutes later, after sharing the news with a friend, I told him, "I'm not going to write a...

I'm taking the next 30 days to write a book! Here's an excerpt from the introduction of Thinking The Unknown.

http://coriwong.com/2013/09/15/thinking-the-unknown/
I'm currently writing my first book under the working title, Thinking the Unknown, which exposes how an epistemology of ignorance shapes what we think we know about sex, gender, and sexuality. The ...

Angry, man-hating lesbians!  No wonder no one wants to identify as a feminist.

Thinking Through Life in Transformative Ways
Story
Tagline
Philosophical Practitioner & Consultant, Blogger, Lecturer. Lover of laughter, food, and dancing. I write provocative things at http://coriwong.com
Introduction
Anyone can benefit from greater philosophical reflection when the material is relevant to real life experiences and the people are thoughtful, curious, and courageous enough to start asking different questions.

My work as a philosophical practitioner and consultant is for those who crave to thoughtfully engage with some of the most fundamental aspects of our lives like identity, sexuality, relationships, politics, and ethics. I show how philosophical thinking can help us become better people and live better lives. Whether I’m teaching, speaking, writing, or advising people, my goal is to promote greater confidence, meaning, and joy, as well as justice, wisdom, and well-being.

Although it may sound counter-intuitive, such positive transformations are often enacted by challenging the very things that we think we know most clearly. I’ve seen this occur for my students, I’ve heard about it from those of you who contact me, and I know from my own experience that philosophy can literally change your life.
