I hope the students I met Tuesday follow through on at least a few of these ideas! Among the underserved niches they IDd: "Good news" journalism, deep-dive sports info sites, fine-arts coverage for younger demos, a business model targeted to small startups and a (badly needed) hub for state and local politics coverage.
I was impressed with students' ideas for local media startups when I helped judge a "Shark Tank"-style business competition for an IUPUI journalism class.

This app has quickly become indispensable to my grad-school life: Paperpile, the reference manager that integrates with Google Docs.
Paperpile is a reference manager that's worth its price, and will only get better from here.

I had avoided a dentist for many years. So glad I found this office to help me catch up on issues! They made me comfortable in my initial consultation and provided an easy-to-follow treatment plan. Costs were always clearly and proactively discussed. Each visit was pleasant (as possible) and I felt my care was handled in a professional yet cheerful manner. The Downtown location in the same plaza as Marsh was very convenient. I appreciated the text-message visit reminders.

The staff is friendly and courteous (including the office cat, Mac!), and it's been easy to both book appointments and to get advice in a pinch over the phone when one of my cats is feeling poorly. Glad to have them in the neighborhood!

Great service! I had a busted fill valve on my half-bath toilet and couldn't get a good seal on the water line to replace it; Mark got a new one installed very quickly and with no leaks. He was able to work around my busy schedule, too. Thanks!
