Why don't you slip out of those work clothes, and into... more of today's new Spells!
Remember the board game “Mystery Date?” Well, this is almost like that, expect we lost some of the pieces, and the only other Milton Bradley product we had lying around was a Ouija board. I met this dreamboat, Brad, from…↓ Read the rest of this entry...

I've developed an itch... for today's new Spells!
Don’t mind me, just sitting here trying to convince myself that I wasn’t Levi’s model for the Black Plague. My mom used to sell A-Non (or, you know, this world’s equivalent) when I was a wee boy. It was a…↓ Read the rest of this entry...

The Limber One decided to go in a different direction.

Sort of the Andy Gibb of this BeeGees. Yeah.  I know.  70’s Disco reference.  Better than doing a Kardashian joke.

It's okay to channel surf, as long as you tune in for... today's new Spells!
I pay too much for basic cable for it to make my head spin around like this. More like “Must Scream TV,” amiright?

I didn't get invited to the big dance, but I'm still inviting you to... today's new Levi's World!

Is there anything, in this entire world, more disgusting than those towels that just cycle on through in public restrooms?  I mean, besides everything else in a public restroom that is.  Who came up with those? I used to have that little picture of Glen…

Great shop! Kid and Family friendly, has pull service for regular customers, does special orders. Kathy's been the owner for 20 years and was recently an Eisner judge, and she is a font of knowledge about all aspects of the industry. Does signings with local creators. Definitely worth stopping by. Located in the same lot as 49er Pets, right behind Rotten Robbie's.

I got a last minute request from our friends that, as I was officiating their wedding (with my wife), would I mind at all wearing a kilt for the occasion? Now, I've wanted a kilt for years, but it always seemed like an expense that kept it too out of reach. But my friends offered to help in the cost, and, atop of that, sent me the link to USA Kilts where I found the Casual Kilt at a, to me at least, pretty amazing price! I paid a little extra for rush delivery of it because I only had a couple weeks until the big day, but it still managed to arrive with more than enough time to spare. The casual kilt is probably the perfect "beginner's kilt" (save for maybe a Utilikilt, but those are very different). What impressed me most was that there was still quite a range of Tartans available even in the casual. I found two under my "name" (Scott) to choose from and picked the one I thought looked the nicest. I didn't get any of the accessories, and maybe I should have. The groom and two of the guests all wore kilts (not casual, the next line up) from USA Kilts as well, and having the socks with the flashes and the sporrans, they looked very sharp. But I didn't feel like I was all that dressed down in comparison, and I got a lot of nice compliments on the kilt itself and my chosen Tartan in particular. And since I want to rewear it later on, in more casual settings, the extras would be overkill for most other occasions. I had a friend measure me for my sizing, and I went for the waist measurement under the belt line. I might have second-guessed myself on that decision when I first tried it on (I do have an ample belly, so I thought it would look better). During the weeding day though, I felt far more comfortable with how I had it placed I think than I would have if it had been higher. And, honestly, that's the best of all: I felt comfortable the whole day. Once the initial shock to the system wore off of wearing something with my legs bare (and trying to remain somewhat modest when sitting down), I never really thought twice about it. The material was very nice, it sat well and securely (the casual uses velcro to fasten. And I wore it with my own belt). It really does feel natural after a bit of wear. My wife liked the look of it enough, I may even start to get requests from her to put it on instead of jeans when we have our days off together. I just can't say enough nice things about the whole experience, as well as the service and selection from USA Kilts themselves. If I ever have the chance, I would definitely buy from them again (maybe a formal kilt in the future).
