An image from last month's trek through Zion. What this picture doesn't show is my mud-covered self after hiking in the Zion wilderness areas. The earlier snows had mostly melted leaving the area to the east covered in the most unbelievable, slick, clingy mud. Not sure my buddy's 4Runner will ever be the same.

Just posted this image from a trip to Ushuaia, Argentina. Often considered the southernmost city in the world, it's a truly unique place. I need to get back to Patagonia!

As the setting sun began to brilliantly illuminate the cliff faces to the east on our return drive from Toroweap overlook on the Colorado River, our way was guided with an archway of clouds.

These clouds drifting north over Snow Canyon in early September were the early arrivals of massive thunderstorms in southern Utah and northern Nevada that washed out sections of I-15 and swelled the Virgin River to many times its normal flow.

After raining all morning near Queenstown, the sky began clearing, leaving these clouds to work their way through The Remarkables - a mountain range in Otago, South Island of New Zealand - near the confluence of the Kawarau River and Lake Wakatipu.
