With shirts like "Allergic to Algebra" perpetrating stereotypes on STEM and gender, what suggestions would you make for a pro-STEM, pro-learning shirt for young women? http://4n6.mobi/o3KBpb
(Forever 21) A Forever 21 shirt with the words “Allergic to Algebra” printed on the front is the latest shirt to draw criticism for its seemingly anti-education message for girls and teenagers. One sh...

You know, the gender stereotyping starts at a very young age. I don't know if you remember A+F had a shirt with a message equivalent to "Who needs math when you have these" scrolled across women's chests.

You should check out this article:

I thought it was fascinating. I'm making shirts for my nieces that say things like "Playtime Bandit" for the little one or "Future Chemist" for my niece who loves science. For more mature girls Mary had that shirt "Reading is Sexy." It might still be provocative but in a different direction.

I had the opportunity to chat with Arkansas Business about Google Glass and how we'll be using this innovative tool at #ASMSA this year. http://asmsa.me/13siSGe
Google Glass is a lightweight headset packed with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology that can connect to the Internet and link to a smartphone. Using a tiny lens on the front corner just above the eye, Glass shoots high-quality 720p video and 5-megapixel photos.

I finally found an Arkansas Explorer! +Corey Alderdice can you help us out.  We're trying to capture all 50 states #throughglass by this Friday.  Can you post a 10 second clip from Arkansas to the 50 States board in the Explorer Community?  Here's the link: https://www.glass-community.com/t5/ideas/v2/ideaexchangepage/blog-id/50states

#ifihadglass  I'd use it to assist Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts teachers in understanding how students experience STEM classroom learning from their perspective.  How do they take notes? How do they participate in project-based learning?  How do teachers engage them?

Apprently Google+ doesn't think I'm important enough to access their new Pages function. Curious if anyone I know has access.

Wait... Google+ still exists? So much for my enthusiasm for a new social network.

I think it was probably all the hype that contributed to the ultimate sort of "meh" feeling people have about it. Everyone was acting like it was going to revolutionize communication, when in fact it was only a social networking site. High expectations are the death of good ideas.

It does lack some sensors (GPS, accelerometer) and devices (microphone, camera?) that would be standard in another tablet, but it is pretty fantastic given that it's intended purely as an e-reader at heart.
