Congratulations, CORE Louisiana on the recently completed Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Charter High School! The 139,000 square foot, three-story replacement high school will serve students of the Lower Ninth Ward who have been displaced or underserved since Hurricane Katrina destroyed its predecessor school in 2005. The building is a state-of-the-art high school, complete with a performing arts theater, laboratories, a library and learning resource center, and a gymnasium which accommodates 850 students.

Earlier this month, CORE Louisiana participated in the annual Hogs for the Cause festival.  Hogs for the Cause is a non-profit organization which raises funds for pediatric brain cancer.  The CORE Swine & Dine team worked through the rain and shine, cooking delicious food for festival goers, and helping to raise money for the organization.
Way to go, #CORELouisiana!

CORE and the students of Nash Elementary School’s Kindness Club helped to relocate two trees on the school’s campus, in order to make way for the installation of solar panels at the school.  Through the process, the kids learned the importance of environmental integrity as well as renewable energy.  #COREArizona #AmphitheaterPublicSchools

Last week, CORE Nevada sponsored an informational subcontractor fair for over 200 local Nevada subcontractors.  Breakfast was provided, and CORE Nevada’s Pre-Construction Director, Michael Keller, presented information on the many great projects we have lined up for 2016.  Thank you to all that attended!
