It definitely puts a deeper spin on it than I considered while reading the books.

Go ahead and try it! Apparently I voted for my number two (only 81% agreement with Obama) #getoutthevote

I waited until trying their dinner menu and not just their brunch menu to write a review. I was not disappointed in the quality of their dinner menu. Similar in quality to their brunch menu (all the food is delectable, and I was stuffed after eating their Pasta aux Champignons), I would highly recommend this restaurant for nice occasions, like dates, visiting family, or treating yourself. The menu is quite expensive for everyday meals (although I highly recommend the coffee). The price being one of two things I would criticize this restaurant on, the other would be the service. While I understand that it's a European-styled restaurant, the waiter seemed rather unnecessarily rude. My friend was refused alcohol after providing three forms of identification (he is French) proving he was well over the drinking age. It seems quite bizarre that they wouldn't accept any form besides a California ID or a passport. Additionally, the food was quite slowly prepared, and in fact quite a bit of time was taken before even the waiter took our orders. What was supposed to be maybe an hour and half meal turned into two and a half hours. However, if you're in good company, I suppose such waiting wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing. It could've just been that waiter, however, because when I went for brunch another time, the service was quite prompt and friendly. Or maybe it's a dinner, thing, I don't know. TL;DR: kinda slow service, pricey, but absolutely delicious.

These guys are awesome. I don't know why Google doesn't list them as a pizza place, because that's their main deal. They are very similar to Cheeseboard, except for how the business is run and where the money goes to, but the consumer wouldn't really know about that stuff if all they care about is flavor. They make a new pizza everyday, and every evening there is live music. It has an awesome atmosphere, more seating than Cheeseboard, and a full bar. I believe if you order a pitcher you get some quantity of "slivers" (where they get their name) of pizza. 5 out of 5

This place is excellent. I've taken 3 groups of people here and every time everyone has loved it. It's all vegetarian, and the spices are amazing. They used to serve free chai, but I'm not sure if they still do. Either way, this place is so good, it's definitely worth the walk or the short bus ride for students living on North or Southside

This place is pretty new, but it's family owned and operated. The woman was very pleasant and asked me about classes and told me about her boys who come to Berkeley as well. The food is very good and the coffee is cheaper, and better yet, better than almost everywhere else close by. Highly recommend this little cafe. I know I'll be coming back.

Make sure to come prepared for a wait. Usually these guys get really packed around 6-7 and they stay that way till closing. You gotta love their deep dish pizzas, it's why you probably went there in the first place. Don't settle for their thin crust!

This place is amazing. The pork buns are delicious and super cheap, well worth the money. It's always busy so there is a bit of a wait, but when the owners get to you they are pleasant enough, though you can kinda tell they want to move on to the next customer. Overall great for a cheap snack
