Cheers to the 18 #startups that embarked on Day 1 of Blackbox Connect yesterday!

One of our closest partners, +blackbox, has gathered an amazing array of entrepreneurial talent from Uganda to Denver to take part in their most recent cohort.

Participating entrepreneurs have moved into a "startup house" in Palo Alto for two weeks, receiving hands-on mentorship from Silicon Valley VCs, founders, designers and more before pitching to an audience of investors! The program is designed to bring awareness, training and connections to entrepreneurs from around the globe and we couldn't be more proud to play a role in it. Meet the startups and learn more about the Blackbox here: http://goo.gl/c4BXIr

Whoopty Do, What does it all mean, Basil?
Introduction
"Creativity is just connecting dots. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn't really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That's because they were able to connect experiences they've had and synthesize new ideas…"

I come from Minnesota, a land under-appreciated by those who have never visited in the summer.  I spent my college years in New Orleans, a land misunderstood by those who have only visited for Mardi Gras.  Now I live in New York City, a land I know almost nothing about.

My passion is for people and the stories they want to share. My mission is to find ways to connect people around shared interests and foster genuine discussions with people who care about issues that matter.

I'm obsessed with music, world news, good weather, inspirational people, optimism, travel, technology, and some other stuff too.

Came here for a Friday night yoga flow and it was excellent. We practiced inside because the roof was wet from rain. The space normally is home to an NGO that does lots of public health work so a great place to support!

A must for great coffee and lovely ambiance right in the old quarter. Check out the window views upstairs with a book and pour over, perfect way to enjoy an afternoon.

Worth shelling out a few extra dong to have a wonderful meal here. We loved the stuffed squid, white rose dumplings, and chicken & fresh mint salad. Might be worthwhile to get a booking in advance during busy seasons but the place is huge so we walked in around 8:45p and got a table easily.
