Converting 2D images into 3D models used to be something you'd only see on TV shows like CSI, but now researchers at the National University of Singapore’s (NUS) School of Computing are working on #ComputerVision  research technology to do just that. Using parallax, a way of determining depth in an image based on various points in that image, these scientist and engineers can derive the 3D structure and shape simply by moving the camera. A professor at MIT shaved off her head in a video as a way of demonstrating to viewers what the different parts of a brain are and how they each control a unique function in humans.

In the same way that the pieces of our brain work together as a whole, #ComputerVision  technology is a complex collection of different parts, with specialized #algorithms  required for each type of recognition, such as #FacialRecognition, #ObjectRecognition  and #ItemRecognition.

To learn more about these algorithms and ways to apply them to your #technology  needs, take a deeper look at what Dynamic Ventures, Inc. d/b/a ComputerVisionSoftware.com can do for you: http://ComputerVisionSoftware.com

Here is proof that #FacialRecognition software has truly arrived: Mu-Chi, an owner of three cats, has invented an automated cat feeder called Bistro that hinges on feline facial recognition. Bistro not only divvies out food and water when it recognizes your pet, it syncs with your smartphone to let you know when – and how much – your pet is eating. If you are curious about how #FacialRecognitionSoftware could keep your business purring, find out more at http://ComputerVisionSoftware.com

The next generation of operating systems is set to make use of #FacialRecognition software like never before. Windows 10 has a feature called Hello that will let users unlock and access their machines with several biometric options which include iris and facial recognition. Microsoft has assured users that all data will be stored locally on their devices – not on Microsoft servers. While we didn’t work on Hello, if you’d like to embed #FacialRecognitionSoftware into your in-house or commercial application, we can help. Visit us at http://ComputerVisionSoftware.com

Earlier this month, the Encinitas Union School District (EUSD) approved the use of #BiometricTechnology for nine elementary schools in their district. Over 5,400 students ranging from kindergarten to grade six will soon be using only their faces to unlock their tablets. This effort is aimed at helping teachers regain time lost while helping their pupils log into their devices. While we are not working with EUSD, we do develop custom #ComputerVisionSoftware for biometric and other uses. Learn more at http://ComputerVisionSoftware.com

On March 11th, Customs and Border Protection (CPB) embarked on a trial of #FacialRecognition   software. The plan is to snap photographs of people arriving at Washington’s Dulles International Airport and use #biometrics to compare them to passengers’ passports.
An attempt to modernize CPB practices, the pilot program is expected to last only two to three months. . Although we’re not working with CPB, if a custom-created facial recognition app would help your business work more efficiently and you’d like to find out more, visit us at http://ComputerVisionSoftware.com
